This game is shaping up to be less and less like Beyond Good and Evil by the day. I feel like it might just be a totally different game with the Beyond Good and Evil name slapped on it to help sales, and probably with some BG&E stuff superficially shoehorned into it to appease fans of the game's namesake.

This looks like a lot of fun. The seamless cutscenes are very well done. The only thing that irks me is the web effects - I feel like they could be improved a little bit, You get a good look at them during the cutscene where he first shoots web on the helicopter - they look kind of crappy. Other than that though, this game looks great.

I own and have played the game many times dummy. I know full well that it's great, but it didn't need to be remade.
You not criticizing the fact that Fumito Ueda and genDESIGN don't seem to be involved with this remake proves YOU don't know much about this game.

Is Ueda involved with this all? It looks like the video game equivalent of a shot for shot remake. Everything seems the same, but the textures and lighting are more detailed and advanced. I don't know... why is this being made? Did anyone actually want this? Seems unnecessary.
Nope, not feeling this. Why'd they make it super edgy? What's with the excessive swearing? The original game had like a teen rating for chrissakes. People have been waiting almost 15 years for a sequel ever since the first game ended on a gigantic cliffhanger, and what do they get? An edgelord prequel. What are Ubisoft and Ancel thinking?

This game doesn't need a remake. I wouldn't be opposed to a sequel, but I reckon this is just a Ps4 release of the HD version or something.

Some things should be cut I think. I played it recently and it's great, but there are definitely a few moments that detract from the experience.
- The CPR scene with Priscilla is just a lame excuse for a mini-game and is kind of creepy. Also, the character of Priscilla is just shelved immediately - why dedicate a mini-game to her? I almost feel they should just rewrite that enter Under Junon section.

Nah, I'd say more gameplay this year, but the game won't actually release till late next year or maybe even early or mid 2019.
Honestly, I'm expecting something to be shown at e3. I can't imagine SE want to fall back into the habit of making people wait more than a year between updates. I mean they must have SOMETHING more they could show us at this point.
So far, all they've showed this year was two new screenshots, and that CG key art. They've got to at least show us a few more screenshots or something.
