Yeah anything can be addictive and damaging. You know you're obsessed when that thing you enjoy begins to feel slightly empty and less fulfilling; perhaps even marginally unpleasant. It happens when you play too many video games for sure.

Joel obviously doesn't realize it, but music is sooo important in games. So much of the impact and the immersion heavily rely on it.
X-2 had really awesome jazzy, funky stuff going on but it also had all this epic symphonic stuff plus some great piano pieces. I just think it's such a diverse and fun soundtrack with so much going on. Much like FFX and I really think that helps convey the sense of a really diverse world.

The music in the second half of the trailer kind of sounded similar to his stuff, but yeah chances are someone else'll probably fulfill that role. Which now that I think about it is kind of sad. XIII has one of my favourite soundtracks of all time and Hamauzu is sublime.
