Rare and Peter Molyneux are pretty unpopular man. Rare have become a shell of what they once were; churning out nothing but really tame family games, and Peter Molyneux is a big hypocrite who thinks his games are revolutionary when they're generally quite mediocre.
I love the man for his really strong desire for innovation in videogames, but he is a little bit pretentious. Let's get real the only good game he's made is Heavy Rain. Omikron and Fahrenheit are absolutely abysmal.
I don't think he really has enough credibility in the games industry yet to be so sure of himself.
There's probably gonna be bias from both this magazine and IGN. The media has it's fanboys too.
I know I'll enjoy this game no matter what platform I play it on because I'm not really THAT picky about graphics performance. So ultimately I'm going to make my own decision. I only have a PS3 so that's the platform I'm getting it on.

This looks absolutely phenomenal. Glad I pre-ordered this for my ps3 way back when.
Ideally I'd have this on a killer PC but this will certainly suffice. I doubt the gameplay's any different.
Man, it just looks so much more intense than pretty much every other shooter. Although I'd say Killzone probably rivals it...
Battlefield always seemed better to me than most shooters in its genre, but ANOTHER modern warfare shooter?? Ugh, please, enough already.

I don't think games should become too pervasive in life. Too much gaming = warped sense of reality and inability to reconcile regular reality with game reality.
Games don't have real consequences, and for the unstable, the desire for actual reality to operate like the game reality may manifest and this is pretty dangerous.
That's not to say games cause this, but on an unconscious level they allow an unstable person access to an ideal reality ...
I bought it. Still playing it and it's unbelievably good. I guess January ain't too good a time to release a game though. I mean sure you've got your january sales, but you can't really mark down a brand new game. They should've released it at christmas or something.
By the way Bioware this doesn't mean you shouldn't release ME3 on the ps3!! I'll buy it first day!
He's a smart enough guy, but his whole stance is pointless whilst his hacks are being distributed across the internet, enabling people to play pirated ps3 games. I'd totally be on his side if this wasn't the case. Homebrew stuff should be allowed, personally hacking your own console should also be allowed and OtherOS should certainly be restored, but he seems to just ignore the fact that his hacks have enabled mass piracy of software.

It starts off very well but it just devolves into the worst, most interminable sci-fi bollocks I've ever had to endure. Like the matrix mixed with conspiracy theories; two things absolutely done to death.
It just becomes so juvenile at the end.
EDIT: Also, why is it, that despite the metacritic score, I still don't like the game? "Opinion" is the answer.
