Sigh, I can understand skepticism, so I will say that it's just something you have to play to understand. It really is fun, but it truly requires the experience rather than basing it off of what you pre-conventionally expect. Supers actually works really well, I dont even miss health mode. This is coming from someone who was just as skeptical as you.
And while it is unfortunate that they couldn't secure a lot of the third party names, this is a first entry that will h...
Wonder how many of those will sell to consumers and how fast.
He's fairly popular from my understanding.
They said they wanted to do something with MP, I just wish they'd give us a PSN based UYA styled competitive MP. That was great
I think Wii U has a lot more options than Wii when it comes to gameplay, so I dont see it getting older quicker. On top of that, Nintendo had some great exclusives throughout the lifetime of the Wii, so I expect them to continue that solid experience they bring. The major question is third party support, and with Nintendo taking games like Bayo, at the start at least, it sounds promising.
Holy wow this sounds awesome. Really like the added layers of thought with the idea of longer held areas becoming stronger
Nintendo DOES support their technology-- the reason being in most instances, Nintendo had the technology from the getgo.
Sony adding motion controls, and cross play down the road for a fractured community doesn't equate "easily rivalling" the Wii U. They can talk in theory all they want, but nothing is substantiated that says cross play is "easily rivalled"
Nintendo supported touch screen, motion control, and 3D by the very nature of m...
I was really hoping for a price drop. How many new owners seriously need 500 GB at the end of the generation? Seems like now would have been the best time to cash in with a really low price and a modest harddrive size. I really did think low priced hardware bundles was going to be their big thing for the holidays, I'm actually pretty surprised. Why does only Europe get the 12 Gig?
It's more of a change in the industry in general.
I think the best place for a Jak/Crash game is the VITA at the moment. Consoles are too focused on grand engines, advertisements, and big budgets to maximize sales, but I can see modest success for a good Jak game on VITA
They said Season 1 will be done by December, so I'm thinking October, then December
Walking Dead pretty much requires you to just finish the game. Anyone who plays all 5 episodes will have the platinum
Eh, I guess it depends on your budget. $300 is too much for me because Ill be maining PS4. Wii U is a likely pick up for the strong Nintendo exclusives that are bound to release but Ill wait for the eventual price scaling. Nintendo wont be more expensive than Sony and MS in the swing of things so Ill get the Wii U then. Its a sensible price if it can sell and I expect the casuals to be first in line. The justfication of the price will ultimately be determined by the sales.
"Good: Journey, Interesting Bonus Content
Bad: The minigames, Flow and Flower"
Flower= Great
Minigames= Good bonus
Didn't really care for Flow, but it's a decent experience.
For those who have never played, it's a great collection worth it for Flower and Journey alone. Those two titles are an exceptional jump in greatness over Flow IMO
Have Plus? It was free on Plus last I checked
^ I know I'll get disagrees, but I didn't like them when they did Resistance. Insomniac will always be to me, a fun, light-hearted, imaginative studio responsible for creating fantastic worlds in Ratchet and Spyro.
I am sad that they have changed so much, especially in a time when we need less of the same mainstream stuff (multiplayer/co-op, shooting, FPS, war) and more of the creative.
Exactly this. Not hard to see why Resistance never made it to Halo status. It simply didn't have the depth and feel of Halo.
Halo set a standard from day one, and here Insomniac is blaming Resistance 2 being too different. As good as R1 may have been, it didn't have the same impression Halo Combat Evolved did.
Additionally, Sony is never going to get the Halo/COD status games when they make their games chaotic, 20-40-256 player games with classes. Tha...
Hope MP incorporates survival team play/tactics. No health regen, very limited ammo (like, only one clip, the rest you'd need to improvise/pick up), a good melee system/stealth mechanics, extreme caution, no respawns, emphasis on using your hearing, weapon pickups (as opposed to creating classes), etc. Maybe even have some nifty gameplay mechanics like everyone carries a small pack of health they can use once per round (requiring time to pull out and apply) or transfer to teammates. Woul...
I think an item from that game is in it
Pretty sure it was slammed for technical issues mostly, but the PS3 should do what the PS2 couldn't.
@Carl
You said "it looks fun" as opposed to "it was fun", so I didn't get the impression that you played it. You further criticizing the Auto Kill super 3's as being the go to choice for online led me to also believe you didn't play, since no one in the beta would save to Parappa's super 3 as often as they would use his Super 2.
If you did play it, then O.K, it's not for everybody, but I don't find your criticisms t...
