I believe that the point here is that OS should just make a bridge between hardware and a human. Let you run programs that are written for it. Nothing more. Programs should be sold separately and made by anyone.
An OS shouldn't let you browse the net, receive e-mail, watch movies, but it should enable you to run a software that let's you do these things. And what software will you buy for those things, is your choice alone.
If this is true, I'm buying PSP. Fumito Ueda is my favourite game designer. I even use the winamp skin that he has made. And have some of his early experimental work.
Well, I disliked MS all the way back when I had to switch from Amiga Workbench to Windows. It was a bad software then as it is now. And, JokesOnYou, Playstation didn't even exist back then.
And, yes, I am forced to use Windows because I need to be compatible with my working environment, other people that I work with, who use Windows.
People should make a universal operating system. It's too essential nowadays and should never be owned by a corporation. Too much c...
Screwed by Sony? Nope. IMHO, if anyone is to blame, it's lawyers, managers, slow trials, not-so-perfect patent law and people who only seek to take advantage of it.
Why would you miss Lara tplarkin7? Are you a lesbian?
BTW nice tits you got there.
EDIT:
" I'm your average Joe that is sometimes clumsy and scared. But I like hot babes for my avatar. It's much better than average Joes.
"
I know, I was joking with you.
Anyway, about that "clumsy" concept. I think it is a great concept. UNperfect protagonists are always more lifelike and I can easily identify with t...
Lets face it, a FPS on a hard desk and a hard chair is terrible compared to a soft couch in front of your HDTV without a clumsy keyboard (with , like, millions of useless buttons) in your lap.
Long ago, I lived in a communist country and had free health care which was great. Much better than what it is now when it's not free.
The health care was equal for everyone and the equipment was always the most advanced one in the world available because government had plenty of money (communist governments do). And doctors took an oath to treat everyone equaly which was a very serious thing since people were brainwashed and led into believing that an oath to the country is mu...
I love those old sayings. There's one that goes: "Good things come to those who wait". That's how I justify waiting for PS3's best.
And, XBL could be free, but then the console itself would be more expensive, like PS3 is. We all pay in the end, it's just that MS gives the illusion of a smaller price by having a bunch of options (XBL, wifi, HDDVD...)
Yes, I know that you were thinking about older games.
I was just curious to know what recent games did grab your attention, in playstation (PS1/PS2) era. "After" the old games. After you became older and more demanding as Gorgon put it :)
