Wow Roof, you're impossible. Sony clearly wasn't speaking of the chip size when they said PS3 is futureproof. Every sane person should understand that they were talking about the core features. I can't believe you're serious.
Well..hardware will be so powerfull and small then so every TV set will have a "standard console" inside, like it has a tuner. No competition needed if you've reached the max. (well, the competition between TV manufacturers will still exist but they won't change the vidogame hardware beyond open-compatibility). We will be buying VR consoles and play VR games. Video games will be just what movies are now, you just watch/play on any TV set without "the box".
All Sony needs to do is make a firmware hole for hackers to exploit. I bet a homebrew PS2 emulator for PS3 would emerge from somewhere. All they do then, is buy it for a lower price than it would cost them to make it with their own programmers.
When you steal an apple from someone, he does not have it anymore. You stole it from him. That's the origin of the concept of theft in the ancient times.
Now, if you COPY something from someone, you clearly didn't steal it from him because he still has his own copy.
I hate it when corporations spin things like this. Find another term for this issue, we need new laws for new digital age, you can't just c...
nope, they made a cheaper version without PS2 backwards compatibility. For a full BC, you have to add some extra money and buy a 60GB version. But it isn't much, if you really want it.
IMHO it's better that they took out BC to make it cheaper than that they took out WiFi or made us pay for online.
