i think you are pushing your luck if you expect a $100 with an extra free game. If there is a price drop i doubt it would be more than $50-70, and definitely not an extra free game.
On the other hand, i dont think the price drop is too far away, my guess is that they are just waiting to hear the price of the next Xbox and PS4
Well more features are always welcome, but to be honest i can think of that many uses for the touchpad so far. If it had been a screen it could have provided some interesting OS oportunities, but touchpad.. I guess i will have to wait for a dev with more creativity than me show some nice uses
bad review.. not reviewS. So far this is the only bad review, the rest have been 8s and 9s. And to be honest, Edge is not a particularly good source if you are going to judge a game from just 1 review
OK... RAM can make a difference, but that is not what is going to determine loading times.With current game size and things getting much bigger now, obviously there is no way everything can be loaded into RAM. What determines this is basically reading speeds, either for the Disc Drive, or the Hard Drive.. so Im not sure we are that close to removing loading times.
Of course there is always some programming wizardry that can be done by talented devs, so its not out of the pict...
@lashes2ashes
Not really you can have a 500mb connection, that if the content provider (EA, Steam, etc) can only send it to you at 1MB per second, then thats the download speed you are going to get
I would add the other rpg from level 5 on the list, fantasy life or something like that, i cant remember the name
Where does it say in the article its only exclusives?? Time travelers is not exclusive either
Well i cant remeber the last time i didnt had internet connection all the time in my PC so i couldnt care less about that
@redrim217
Yeah because multitouch has been so useful in the vita.... Pretty much every game out there is using single touch in the vita as well. Multitouch is pretty much useless when you already have analogs, buttons and triggers
I really like the idea of these setting, but hopefully there will be a lot of exploration
I just hope this gen wont be just about pretty visuals, i want real gameplay innovations, no more awful AI, real physics, but with a meaning, not just for show... More believable and interactive enviroments, etc
correct me if im wrong... but how much of a difference could it be if on those 1.5Gb they were already using hi-res textures...? having more RAM available just means they will have more textures stored, it doesnt actually mean it will look better. Not everything is related to RAM you know...
Now if they were using low-res textures (which didnt look like it), then it could definitely look better with more RAM involved
@Karpetburnz
Ok so 1st of all, we do have to pay for PS+ anyway, its the PSN that is free. And well considering all the online features sony is looking to add, i think it would be wise to assume that this gen we will have to pay for online, they have to pay for all those services somehow, not toention recover the $380mill spent on gaikai
In the end if they keep it free i will be pleasently surprised, if i think its going ro remain free and they charge i would...
well yeah, but i mean more of a normal subscription fee like Live. I dont know how they could support all those online services without it. I would be thrilled if they stayed free, but i just dont see it happening, which means there is even less chance of MS dropping the charge as well
Im thinking that if the new ps eye comes with every console we wont see a price below $500. Maybe if they release a bundle without we might see a $400 version with less hdd and without online subscription...
Which takes me to my only other concern, with sony giving so many online features, i cant see how they wouldnt charge for online this time, and what are going to be the prices for game streaming? They have to recover those $380mill somewhere
Other than th...
im bringing in Vita because this person somehow thinks that because the WiiU sold 55k in one territory for 1 month people should have been worried.
If that were the case, the Vita didnt even reach half that amount for many months in Japan, and im not even sure its still reaching numbers close to that, and yet if i had to guess, he is the type of person that when something is said about the Vita he would say to just give it time and it will be succesful.
So im...
well that was kinda obvious to begin with. Not that i cared too much about it anyway, im not planning on owning a 4k TV anytime soon
im pretty sure that the architecture for the wii games is also incredibly different from the WiiU, thats why they have the Wii Mode, its basically an emulator of your Wii "account". I dont see how sony could not do this, and probably more elegantly than Nintendo
wtf?? that doesnt make any sense... even on the wiiU with a completely different online system(and a limited one at that) i could transfer my wii downloads.
damm, i wanted lego city but its only available for store pick up...
