well has long as it has replayability (and i dont mean trophies, achivements, etc i dont care about that) I dont mind if a game is short.
If it does not have replayability then it better be priced accordingly
same way I wish people would stop pretending this is a bad idea without knowing whats going to happen. So far this is only a decision. If its good or bad, we will only know until E3 is done. Anything before that is just speculation.
As for what I think, as much as I dont like it, I do see a lot of sense. People here think that the mainstream media are watching the actual conference as it happens, and thats just not true, only dedicated gamers do. Mainstream media might do a c...
the whole "90 million accounts" number is and always has been biased and everyone knows that. Most people who have a PS3 have 2-3 accounts, especially with the way you could share games before
thats how that character speaks in A Song of Ice and Fire(Game of Thrones)
it has been questioned for quite a while now, to the point that a couple of years ago they tried to change the format but it didnt really work out(for many reasons, not just being smaller)
It was simply brought up AGAIN because of what nintendo did
And its not like Nintendo is questioning the relevance of E3 as a whole, its just for the actual conference
Update: Nintendo of America's senior director of corporate communications, Charlie Scibetta, has clarified to IGN that two events will be held on Tuesday morning at E3 (the day when Nintendo's press conference traditionally takes place) in addition to multiple Nintendo Direct presentations leading up to the show.
Scibetta's full statement is as follows:
"As you've already seen, a lot of news about Nintendo games and services that traditio...
Once again, just because most people here cant seem to be able to read past a title (especially when its Nintendo related "bad" news)
They will be at E3, they will even have a conference the day they usually do (actually 2 conferences) they are simply dividing the conference, one for business partners (retailers, publishers, etc) with the info that they care about. And one for gaming media focused purely on games and give them the chance to play them without massive...
We should clarify a few things. 1st they going to be at E3, if anything it seems they are trying to boost their presence on the actual booths. So its not like there wont be any announcements like some people are thinking.
As for what is going to happen, well im pretty shocked about the decision TBH, but on the other hand it does make some sense, if anything its been about 3 years in a row where the E3 conference from all 3 is lackluster in some ways, last year specially. And ...
Not in japan. There it was sold at retail. And Nintendoland is obly sold with the premiuns and i think its not bundled at all in japan like wii sports
well considering the fact that they usually lose a ton of money because of the same situation (same for Sony), then i still dont see how this would be something bad. They made a profit and took action to avoid the same problem that usually plagues Japanese companies
The type of open world experience you just describe is exactly how every zelda is already. If anything, the worlds lack interactivity and even more stuff to do, but they are already pretty open and with pretty much non existant loading times
awesome, then they better do this in NOA so i can get me some free Animal Crossing
who knows? the last promo, at least for America, where you registered Luigis Mansion and a 3DS XL to get a free game, it was not retroactive. You had to register both within that period. If you already had them, it wouldnt work.
So hopefully that wont be the case and also they will do this in the NOA club nintendo
actually the have 0 versions, since this is a new game. I personally dont remember any DS version, and the 3DS one was for free...
So yeah.. The original, a GBA port, a VC title and now a new one, over a period of about 20 years... not bad if you ask me
its a sequel in the same world, it would be weird if some areas are not the same dont you think? On the other hand, saying that just because 2 screens of the map are the same, then nothing is going to change is a bit ridicuouls if you ask me
@ado908
Well not really, the PS3/PS2/PS1 were all very successful in the US and they actually have higher sales in the US than in Japan.
In Japan its more of a cultural thing, they simply prefer Japan made products. In the US or other countries for that matter that is not really an issue
well its not like I wasnt expecting a bunch of disagrees for that comment on this site, but seriously people. Just in Japan Sony has an advantage of 7-8mill consoles, Nintendo has an even bigger advantage over MS.
And its not like they didnt try to do something over there is Japan, its just not going to happen for MS, and that is a disadvantage
well yes and no, even though the PS3 launched a year later and with a higher price, Sony(and Nintendo) have a huge advantage over Microsoft with the fact that they have an extra territory (a very successful one also) that Microsoft will never have no matter what they do.
So just as we should praise Sony for what they were able to achieve launching a year later and higher price, we could also praise MS for matching PS3 sales without a very large marketplace
its DLC, but it wont be free
What matters is WHAT is announced, not HOW. Gaming media will still report on every single game, whether it was shown on the floor, roundtable, small meeting or huge conference. Nintendo will still be at E3, gaming media will have a special meeting to play all the games they will have without huge lines on the show floor. The only difference is that we wont have someone doing text updates on a website about what we can already see happening on the acteen of our computers.
I d...
