probably in some closed room sessions at E3
not to mention everything in a game like Rayman Origins is hand-drawn
why haters? that trailer looked great, i hope it represents a lot of what we will see in the final game
if i had to guess, they simply want people to focus on the games/controller instead of pricing during E3.
Its not that i like the idea of waiting more to know this, but all i care about at E3 is seeing new games, the price i can learn later
thats because they have videos of those games as well, it has to say that to avoid confusing people into thinking they can download them
the VC games are still a bit expensive compared to other services. I would alter some of the prices, $2-3 for NES/GB $3-4 -- GBC -- $5 SNES/GBA
and $8 for N64.
Its might not look like much in terms of $$, but its still a 20-30% diference
@Kur0
Not entirely, 1st because Nintendo does have a lot of control in regards to anything to goes on the eshop.
And second and most important, is that if Nintendo were to price digital games at less than the retail price, it would undoubtedly create a trend among other developers
i dont like that sony is already announcing many of the games before E3... i dont like E3s where all we see is gameplay of games we already know they exist. I hope there are more surprises in the way.
The worst part is that 99% of the time sony is going to announce something it gets leaked, so its not even a like a big reveal
yeah, except i cant really rememer the last time i payed full price on any PC game with Steam...which is why i dont mind that situation on PC (technically you can share games but you risk getting banned).
And most new PC games cost $50, not $60 just a couple of exception from greedy publishers, but again, its really hard not to quickly find some good deals on PC games
well personally i have only bought 1 used game in the past 2 gens, so thats not really my concern. What is, its basically not being capable of trading games with friend for a while, or "splitting up" big releases among each other.
And also the fact that i usually sell most of the games i buy after a while to buy new ones, and just keep the best ones. So that would kill a nice income for me
But i also see the gain for developers so i wont call them a...
i honestly have no idea what you are talking about... plenty of awesome FF games besides that? from what i remember, the only FF after XIII was XIII-2, that suffered from many of the issues that plagued the original
A game 3 years old, with a sequel less than a year old.... yeah thats WAY in the past...
anyway, im not making a big false generalization, because its something that has happened to many japanese developers
the problem with Final Fantasy has been the same that has plagued many japanese developers... they try to "westernize" their games, and in the end they dont appeal to the fans of the JRPG, and fail to understand what makes a western RPG diferent. So we end up with a games that dont know who they are appealing to.
patching 50 diferent drivers??? when was the last time you even played a PC game....
oh hell what memories, i bought Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure such a long time ago. And my friend bought Valkyrie Chronicles so we could swithc games after we finished them.
They should make a new VC game
still not sure whats happening with the US stream, which was supposed to start around 8:30 PT.
In the japanese version they announced New Super Mario Bros 2 for 3DS. I guess Super Mario 4 is for wii u
edit: i think there wont be an English Nintendo Direct, and that they meant that they would be simply posting new info on Twitter
finally you can group apps into folders
yeah, the japanese (without subtitles is happening right now), the US stream starts in 5min
to clarify, this is saturday in japan, the conference is happening right now actually
i wouldnt mind a break for a while, let them work on new IP's, learn new stuff from those games and then come back to uncharted and apply all that new knowledge for an even better game
these are just dev units, like the ones at E3 last year, why would they force developers to be constantly charging the remotes during development. Almost all dev kits use wired controllers
