As the RSX has virtually free access to the Cell's memory, the XDR. Prototype will show you what limitations the developers have to run into in order to deliver a sandbox game on DVD9. Hell, see GTA4 or any other open world game, be it multiplatform or 360 exclusive, that runs from a DVD9.
But that would mean that they are roughly tide for last month, give or take. And that isn't good for 360 as the 360 can be bought for half the price. Are they gonna hit rock bottom this year? I mean is 360 gonna price the Elite below the Arcade's current price or what? Microsoft is taking a hit with the Arcade, and I doubt they want more.
So it's either price drop or first party games or 3rd party timed exclusives and DLC.
