Playing Mirror's Edge Catalyst (and loving it) of course!

For me it's running completely smoothly on 1080 with a GTX 970, and some basically useless CPU. The custscenes go out of sync and lag a bit, but apparently they're fixing it, and will have an update soon.

What I find admirable is that in a way it's more a reflection of capitalism rather than communism (which you might arguably find in things like 1984, or the upcoming film Equals). I've read up on the history, and the Omnistat was supposed to be more like that, before it was overthrown by the Conglomerate. That's what it look like so far anyways ...

Actually, I think the opposite. Sentient AI will have a long way to go before being able to perfectly emulate humans (and however human they me seem, feel, or think they are, that's all it can be, at least for a very long time, in a way, our own emotions are an ellusion). Games may not have real people in the way that they have a set amount of choices and answers, and will react however unpredictably in a finite amount of ways. If they are scripted by human beings, it just makes it that m...

I actually strongly disagree with. Catalyst has made many mistakes, namely the story, but it being open world isn't one of them. I'm not saying it wouldn't have been good without the open world, but I think it was an important step for them to make. Especially seeing as it doesn't really have any equals in it's genre in the first place (Dying Light's parkour felt slow and unfluid). Anyway, maybe after playing the game (that I just got today), I'll be able to say mo...

Would be great to play ... however I think people need a break from someone like Kratos. They need a character they can relate to a little more. One with a little more moral strength too. And good research bro, I need to top up on my Norse mythology myself! :D

Why? It's not as if it makes a difference to the gameplay. And Naruga, I see what you mean by Kratos being overrated, I honestly do. However there is a little more to him than it may seem, and the fact that by the end of GoW III he's basically become a force of nature, an embodiment of vengeance, is a little more profound than it looks ...

From the footage, this is looking great, really. But then again, we'll have to wait to hear what people think of it at the E3 before judging ...

You know, for someone who endings drive them absolutely crazy, this feels good for once. It's not too final and not open ended either. The end of Wild Hunt was the same, and that's just one of the many reasons I love the game. It's something truly amazing they created, and I know it'll end up being timeless, for me at least ...

Exactly. I mean in the end, no game is going to ressemble anything like real war in the first place. Soldiers documented the waiting factor being one of the worse things in the trenches, only to be broken up by short bursts of gunfire, bombs, and mustard gas. It was truly miserable, and that's not what they're gonna convey. I think the game's fine for people who understand how horrible it must have been, but it's gonna friekin' get on my nerves if I start hearing kids sayi...

God of War at the E3? Awesome! And it would be great if it wasn't Kratos. I mean those early concept art sketches we saw? Might've been an early version, or maybe they hadn't decided who it would be yet so Kratos was just there as a mannequin. Also, like Mr-Dude said, would be really cool if it was a shield maiden ...

Honestly, I preferred Apocalypse than Civil War for some reason. I don't know why ... Civil War just didn't do very well portraying it's plot. I got the feeling that the plot was something going on in the background for some reason. I was weird. Anyway, game wise, Apocalypse and the other movies have made plenty of money I doubt that's the problem. I don't really know why they haven't given it more of a shot. I mean sure Batman's alot to live up to but it would be ...

You do need a helluva lotta cash, you can say that again. But honestly, I started with 16,000 or whatever, and I've spent like 10,000 on Corvo Bianco so far, and from the Main Quest and a few sidequests, and just from selling lots of the wine I find and expensive armor, I'm still at around 15,000. Then again those Grandmaster sets are even heavier on your wallet when you think about how many there are. But I'm still quite far from needing to use an exploit like this so I think I&#...

I'm genuinely surprised this got such coverage recently. I mean it's more advanced but this is a game in the scope of Goat Simulator (desctruction wise, no offense). But apart from that sure, it looks good. Just not something I'd see myself doing for very long that's all ...

Huh, is a shame about this really. But I mean it doesn't look bad right? I'll need to see some more gameplay to really make up my mind ...

God this just makes you think however this turns out, it's gonna be awesome. Lots of people are going on about how it's gonna get boring quickly, but we'll never really know that until a few months after release, and from what we've seen so far ... it's just staggering. I mean the idea that we can do this in video game. It's a pretty big friekin' leap to have such a massive universe with stats that (obviously come nowhere to the real universe), do give you this fee...

Wow San Francisco? Definitely gonna set a different atmosphere ...
In fact I think it's a good thing. There aren't enough games set there nowadays.

Yeah, PS's always getting the best exclusives. However it is worth noting that they have a helluva lot more of them the XBox. I mean personally I think the whole 'exclusive' thing is scandalous in the first place. I mean I understand for a studio that's just getting started but I hate the idea of Microsoft or Sony 'owning' a studio. As history's shown us it doesn't mean the game will be bad or good, but the number of times I cursed PlayStation for having all th...

Well everyone agrees that the story is not great, so there does seem to be consistency in the reviews there. But if not, this is looking great! Honestly, although the setting for the story had great potential, and so it's a shame they failed at it, the freerunning is the essence of the game, and as long as they got that right and gave us a MASSIVE playground to do it in, I'm happy.
