I am so looking forward to this game, especially because you don't have to buy a ******* PS4 to play it. It just felt unfair that you had to own a PlayStation to play these works of art like Journey or Flower. Whatever the case, it looks amazing.
Well they tried something new with the TV miniseries, which was interesting, but obviously didn't work for some people. The gameplay was also interesting, but I feel they could have done more somehow. It was a good experiment, and in my opinion, a very good game too. It was supposed to be Xbox's answer to Uncharted 4, but didn't compare at all. Xbox One has plenty of great features, but PS just smash on the exclusive front. But then again, they'd won the battle years and years...
I honestly think it has bad PR. Some people don't even know what it is, which is sad.
Good review. You're extemely right about running through Glass feeling awesome. It's like your in a dream, a truly unique feeling. Fans have been pleading for years for this game, and as a fan, I say it lived up to it's expectations.
Nooo!!! Although yes, we did see that coming.
I love these. In fact I love the whole recreating old games in UE4 in general. Cool stuff.
I'm gonna be honest. Videos like this are going to be the death of Catalyst. To start with, it's one of those games that you can't just watch. The feeling it gives you when running through Glass is unique and awesome. You feel free. And secondly, I'm sick of people (sorry Poods, you too this time) playing through this game and crashing into every wall, falling off every building, and running in circles. This video wasn't that bad, it wasn't top notch but it was alright...
I wanna see FRIEKKIN' EVERYONE!!!!! I mean maybe not 'everyone', but no less characters than they had in the last game anyways. Oh, plus Ra's Al Ghul. I don't think he was in the first one. But anyway, if it is coming, HELL YEAH!!!
I really wonder why Xbox One graphics are so bad ...
If not, for me anyways, performance on Ultra with no (notable) CPU and a GTX 970 G1, is as smooth as glass (pun not intended ... well maybe a little). The first cutscenes (3rd person) go out of sync and are laggy, but then they smooth out. I think that's another issue though. Anyway, friekin' LOVE the game, I don't know why critics don't like it so much. The open world, the combat, and everything flows brilliantly. ...
This is promising. However, like many other articles today, THIS IS A PREVIEW, not a review. No hate, it's just annoying.
You're right, people should calm down a little.
It's definitely not a full review like you said. It's a review of the bit of gameplay they got to play at E3. Honestly, since there'll be more extended gameplay videos out there as time progresses, I don't really see that much of a point, though it does offer a little insight as to how things are at the E3 I guess ...
Cool stuff ...
Honestly, I think critics are being way too harsh, and half the time I don't know what they're talking about. I just started the game today, and I'm absolutely falling in love with it. The feeling you get when running is just awesome.
I really don't think Watchdogs is anywhere near the best looking open world. I mean there a lots of different styles, and sure it looks great, but still ...
Freerunning looks awesome, it's nice they decided to make it a little more acrobatic, in a show off kinda way. Thunderball looks sick, an really cool and creative weapon which looks great when in use. I am hoping they won't graphically downgrade, because as beautiful as it looks on the big scale, the general look of it isn't that impressive. More hacking is brilliant, especially the fact you'll be able to get through the game without gunfire. I mean, this is hacking game, not ...
Agreed 100%. This is a game about hacking, it's not GTA. I'm sure there's plenty of fun to be had, but not only is it more of a challenge to complete the game using the most hacking possible, but it makes the game a little more unique too. I think they did have to leave guns in though, as it allows for different playstyle, as long as they work a lot more on the hacking, because not only was it impossible in the first one to complete the game without gunfire, it was hard to just us...
I think she's supposed to be a good actress, dunno what I've seen her in though. Honestly I didn't really like Angelina as Lara, but it is so sad about her. Makes you see celebrities as people when something like that happens ...
Now listen, I know 4K makes a difference, and is definitely nicer to look at, but honestly, I think for the price required to run games on 4K on Ultra, it comes nowhere near something that seems worth it for me personally. In the end, I'd prefer to run a game at 1080, hell, even 720, in Ultra, than at Min in 4K anyway. In the end, how long before resolution overtakes graphics and it'll end up looking worse than lower res. I just think it's extremely overrated, and people spend way...
Good list, but however brilliant Uncharted is, it doesn't belong here. Many people don't have the PS4, and I don't think Uncharted is worth the price of one (though let's be honest it was amazing). You could replace it with Mirror's Edge though. I mean it seems to be trying to get at lots of different game styles and you don't get more unique than that. Playing it feels so empowering and awesome ...
