announcement, I don't think F3 and T10 stand a chance at retribution now, the game will fail in comparison to GT5. F3 has already been confirmed a weaker driving sim experience in light of GT. Nice try T10..lol.
This will help push the Bravia brand, and more people will become accustomed to digital content, all we need to know now are the price of the TV and netflix, and HDD space.

Microsoft is rushing the game to market to compete with GT5, maybe their moles got a hold of GT5 release date, so they are going to try and push F3 out before GT5, heavily market it in hopes that it will takeaway some shine form GT5 when it launches, or at least force Sony to delay GT5 at a later time until the F3 hooray runs out me thinks. GT had all the above missing features of F3 since GT3 or 2, now one gen later and the almighty definitive driving game can't have or handle night and rain driving?????????? lol!!! I don't think this is true, this article must be fake...... I mean seriously. GT3 on the PS2 had both rain and night races combined on some of the rally tracks.

This pod are for the Microsoft fan boys and loyalist, nothing more. Sony has been doing the same thing with the PlayStation brand for almost 15 years now and that did not stop them from reaching the top with PS1 and PS2. Both consoles were premium priced for 2-3 years when launched, look how that turned out.
It would make the PS3 profitable faster, as a slim model will have less and cheaper parts installed, but you would still have the same functions.
Sony would make a ton of money very fast on the PS3 slim priced at $399 all leading up to a descent price cut at the beginning of their next fiscal year.
Sony is doing what Nintendo did the last 12 years, focus on profit and not marketshare, invest heavy in 1st party game support, and drive and control the system sales yourself.. almos...
Kotick was wrong for saying what he said in that public interview, Sony deserves more respect than that, at least acknowledge Sony's lost per console. Why should any company want to continue losing money on their product? Sony knows what they are doing, marketshare wont lead to profitable any way you cut it. Sony deserves to push the PS3 into the black and out of the red, it's simple economics.
