The info on the Elite cant be correct, it just does not make sense. Why drop the Pro and Lower the Elite to $299, all that would do is make consumers who would have bought the Pro buy the Elite instead, its not an effective price cut, people are not on the fence waiting to buy an Elite.
Sony may also have room to drop a new Slim SKU at $250 before 2010, all they would have to do is drop a USB port and lower the HDD space. So MS needs to drop below $250 before Sony makes a move on that p...
He is a caveman raciest....
A....Aar....AIG... is.... is that you????
To stay competitive at a close and competitive price point and leave the competition very little room to counter, or undercut the PS3's value. Also the 60GB would have all the necessary PS3 features (wifi, bluray, etc..)
60GB PS3 slim for $250, or 60GB PS3 slim with GT5 for $299. The 120GB alone is not enough for Sony to hit their 13 million mark by March 2010, so I'm led to believe that Sony may have big plans on SKU's being reveled at the event. Also consider that the slim at $299 announcement was a bit early in the year for such an announcement, further leading me to believe that they have more announcements to make most likely at the TGS event. If I'm wrong then shoot me, LOL.
Sony is trying ...
Are there any evidence that the 60Gb Pro is being Phased out?
Looking forward for your 100 reasons to drop Microsoft, you guys are gonna have so much fun on that article.
PSN Video Store + Bluray is leaps over bounds better than NetFlix and Zune's prepaid "lower than DVD quality" garbage.
Watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watc... . Notice the emotion involved at 40 seconds into the video when the mother and son says "BluRaaaaaaaaay.......... ..". Now imagine this very same scenario happening this holiday when moms and pops go to BestBuy and oth...
Tell the Queen to cut back on the higher standard of living in the UK, and maybe companies that are charging more for their products in the UK will lower their prices to match the standard of living compared to the rest of the World.
Lets not forget that the UK is coming out of this global recession a lot faster than the rest of the world.
Nice and Easy.
I still think Sony will introduce a $250 model PS3 and use that as a bundle for the motion controller, For Sony $299 will be their set price.
When the 360 have been available for $299 since last year? unless there are information missing. $250 Elite would have done wonders for MS and nightmares for Sony. MS seems desperate now, they responded too soon. A $299 Elite pales in comparison to a $299 PS3. Will wait for more info and official announcement, but if true then that was a dumb move by MS.
So that's why you saw the bump in sales. PS3 numbers will come back up in about 2 weeks, Japan in focused on software right now, PS3 has none atm, would have been smart if Sony had drop the price of some software along with the $299 PS3 to keep some sales going.
The survey was taken when the PS3 was still $399-$499, LOL..... go tell Gameinformer to do the survey again and you'll see that 3% jump to 50-80% due to the current price of the PS3....
..... I think he meant to say that "Microsoft did not cut a check at the time of E3, so we will be releasing the game on the PS3 and PC in 2010."
Shame on you Tanaka for trying to drag Jack Tretton down to your level, you better hope Sony and Jack don't reply publicly to your claims of them forgetting to say that FF14 will be a console time exclusive for the PS3, damn lier.
Edit:
Even Aaron Greenberg said he was not aware of the title being exclusive...
I predict the PS3 will get smaller at least 1 more time in its 10 year life cycle. Sony will keep revising the PS3 until its the size of the current PS2, probably wont happen for at least the next 3-4 years but knowing how Sony goes to work they most likely will revise the PS3 one more time.
It will carry the FF name,, but it will be based on inferior last gen tech, what a shame.
No one made any real major announcements so Sony's message stands alone on the air waves, the message will have time to sink in, and by the time shopping season comes most people will have already made the decision to pick up a $299 PS3 1st and foremost despite any other announcements from the competition.
The review was not biased and to be honest it was very informative.
Sony knows how to run the company, they would have failed by now if any of those doom and gloom article had any substance.
