Slow news week huh? I don't even feel the need to comment on these news as I did comment on that in a similar article ...at least 40% of the popular stuff on N4G are Phil Spencer articles and 20% of those are taken from the interview with Major Nelson, how about doing some actual journalism and moving on?
I honestly don't believe that a developer doesn't know this stuff from his game a few weeks before release. I work at a big company and know our whole product range (about 100 PNCs) very well so there must be something else to it.
Yes Destiny is in the top 3 for sure, can't wait to coop this :)
But I'm a huge stealth fan and I played through every Metal Gear at least twice ...MGS4 even 7 or 8 times because I just loved the gameplay. This looks like a HUGE step forward and if Ground Zeroes is any indication on what's to come, I know that I will enjoy TPP for a very loooong time.
I think this is my personal most wanted ...even more so after playing over 10 hours of Ground Zeroes. I feel like I might love this game and the new open world approach so much that I will play through it indefinately.
Naming Naughty Dog as number 1 reason sure is funny ...I would rather say "First Party Games" in general. At least that's my reason for going with Playstation again, most of my favourite games of last gen were PS3 exclusives. I can't wait to see what these studios come up with, hopefully we'll get a glimpse in a few weeks at E3.
I did read it and it was not worth the time.
"it was bland, boring and standard third person shooter fare"

Ok I read that wrong :D
@DanManDantheMan: The title was phrased differently when I wrote that comment.
@Neonridr: Yes it's more like 10meters and the Gamepad shuts off. I was definately disappointed when I couldn't even use it in my brothers room. On the other hand, I used Remote Play almost without any lag through the WiFi at my work ...which is a few miles away.
Best news all week, finally we don't have to deal with his so called "reviews" anymore. He could start as a janitor in Redmond I'm sure he would enjoy cleaning Major Nelsons office and it would be on par with his qualification. Big lol at his new consulting firm btw.
They are certainly raising the bar for next gen RPGs ...this generation is going to be breathtakingly amazing =)
From my point of view it's still free-to-play as long as there is any stuff you can buy ingame ...no matter what that is. It only becomes "free" if you don't even have the option to spend money on it. GTA1 for example is "free" by now ...LoL or Dota 2 are for me free-to-play.
But it's certainly good that they are stressing this fact.
Agree with you on all points.
The games actually look pretty good in terms of quality. It's definately nice to see that Amazon is going for quality gaming experiences and I'm sure there is an audience for this device but I for one am not part of that audience.
@DoomeDx
They confirmed it officially yesterday

It was on April 1st but it doesn't sound like a joke lol
@Foxtrot
Boring and imo kinda depressing ...I for one love bright, shining colors in games that's why I prefer InFamous at daylight

After they aquired Double Helix I was hoping for a real gaming console tbh ...now I'm definately not interested anymore. And the name sucks, "Amazon Fire TV"?

I'm not sure whether this is such a smart design choice ...I mean wouldn't it be cooler to see the city in different settings? Look at InFamous, some people prefer playing at broad daylight, some prefer the game at night. That's why the devs are implementing an option to choose between settings.
I'm sure Gotham will look breathtaking, especially as a next-gen only city, but personally I would prefer some variety in a 15hour+ open world game.
And I still couldn't care less about communities and socializing because I bought a game console for the gaming experience. A game like DriveClub excites me because it looks and feels great, not because they're aiming for a social racing experience ...those are gimmicks that are appreciated if done right and hated if done wrong (see the pointless always-online in SimCity for example).
For me it's the same, DaS2 felt kinda strange.
But I prefer Demon's Souls for many reasons. I loved the Character/World tendency stuff, the separate worlds, the amazing bossfights, the better crafting system, the overall darker tone of the game ...I could go on and on. A Demon's Souls 2 announcement would make my heart stop for a second that's for sure ...another Dark Souls wouldn't excite me at this point.
Change #1: Make Demon's Souls 2, not Dark Souls 3
Or am I the only one who enjoyed DeS much more than DaS & DaS2?
Well look how Infamous looks on PS4... ;D
At least 5 months, this has to be a f****ing joke.
Now they are suddenly unhappy with the server performance? How many times have EA execs defended the performance of BF4? They were even sued for it back in december

This is simply ridiculous, it's about time some eyes are opened at EA. This is NOT how you treat paying customer.
Actual journalism is definately not reporting on interviews that have been posted with the original source before.
