I can only hope that the decision to go multi-platform has not created a lesser end product. I guess we'll find out.
I actually thought the movie was pretty good for a game to movie adaptation. Was it everything I wanted? No. But, it was watchable.
Yes, because the games they make on portable platforms, are games that hark back to their earlier days. Those games they made in the late 80's through the 90's were worthy.
Looking forward to this.
I'll always be thankful for Sega CD. Why? Lunar. In fact, I want to play that again right now.
Of course, I'm going to play it on my PC, as my Sega CD is in a different State right now.
“Without being able to tell you where and how far we will take specific new games, the engine technology that is glacier2 easily has potential to rival the best. So while living up to you guys’ expectations is no small task, at least we are making some changes and improvements that can actually take us there.”
This doesn't seem particularly boastful. I would think fairly accurate. Seems doable.
Looking very good and much expanded and even more polished than I would have thought. Really looking forward to this.
Honestly, I like the Vampire: The Masquerade project better... man, I wish they would do something with that property again. That was an outstanding game.
Regardless, this remake is being completed by the community and is being done on whatever time they can spare.
It's called developing a solid game that has an appropriate number of hours of play depending on it's audience and genre.
It's also a little something called a mod community.
Problem solved.
Cue harp music and shit.
Man, it's always about something dying.
Single-player is dying.
RPG's are dying.
PC games are dying.
Sony's dying.
Nintendo is dying.
Microsoft is dying.
America is dying.
All life is dying.
Just think if the 'is dying' articles, opinions and stories would just die.
I will always hold out hope...it's that and opposable thumbs that separates us from the anarchy of barbarism and public toilet acceptance.
A rational mind with always side with the irrational argument, if the irrational argument sounds rational enough.
I really am looking forward to this.
PC... just do it.
While I enjoyed Fallout 3 and New Vegas, there is something altogether separate with the original Fallout. You could pop it in today and still enjoy it, which is a sign of a well crafted game. The original and the new iterations are very different experiences and the new experience has pluses and minuses.
Doesn't their official blog say that they had some kind of 'external intrusion'? That sounds like PR speak for we've been hacked/compromised. I think it's pretty obvious.
If it were an issue of an update going wrong or a feature breaking the system, they would roll it back and fix it. That way the network could remain up and running. Also, they most definitely have a means to test things like that on a ghost network or backyard server before it ever goes ...
Watched the whole thing. Very cool. He's right when he says you can find a way to do just about anything... so true.
Interesting they are not using DX11 shaders... I mean, the game is going to be coming out on 11.11.11
Not only would that fit perfectly into the release date, but it's half a year away... by that time DX9 will be even more dated.
Oh well, regardless I am looking forward to it.
The only losers in life are those that don't pay attention to what's actually going on around them and putting it in its proper context. George isn't a loser and neither are those that agree with him.
Odd, the first one clocked in a lot more hours than that and was incredibly engrossing. Looking forward to this regardless.
This reminds me of back in high school when we used to program our calculators.
From all accounts, they carried the spirit of Duke Nukem 3D to the new game. I don't know what else they could have done. It's a Duke Nukem game, that's what we would expect.
Sexist? Juvenile?
Again, that's what we love about the Duke. What's the problem? You're creating drama out of thin air and shining a spotlight on the obvious.
It's quite apparent this kind of thing doesn't appeal to you, great... go play C...
That's really unfortunate. It's a sad thing (also good) that the unpaid mod community can put together great mods and texture overhauls, but they, the company that created it and puts their name to it, can't be bothered to. I love their games, but that's really dumb.
