Well we inevitably get mascots when we get good games with memorable characters, and since we don't see so many mascots popping up this gen... Well I think you get the picture.

Damn! Epic isn't an epic! enough word to describe just how epic! That trailer is, They may have to create a whole new word that actually captures the sheer epicenes! of that trailer. So umm yeah, I think I'll be getting this game.

I agree, I think a reboot of the franchise would be great, or even a retelling of Blood Omen making use of graphics and gameplay we have this gen or next. Everyone should play the original Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen, sadly its age and load time is a turn of to some gamers.
Lords of Shadow did a fine job fleshing out that origin story.

Why a re-boot? And why DMC!? Its almost as if Capcom's saying "we have absolutely no faith in this franchise, we know we have plenty of hard core fans but, Screw em we want more and we're willing to sacrifice the entire franchise to get them" Or at least that's what Im hearing.
