Your welcome! (+ Bubble for you)
Im sure so many of us have had our lives affected in similar positive ways, Maybe if we all put our own experiences in article form, got together and had it featured on a news or other information broadcast program in an attempt to correct the ignorant and enlighten the misinformed... Though I somehow doubt such a think will happen... ^^;;
A heart warming and and touching story, You must have had a great childhood. It goes to show that games can do so much more than just entertain us.
Reading the article, it makes me proud to be a gamer enthusiast =)
Because we're having enough trouble shifting the current model!.
@humbleopinion
I get what youre saying but its not entirely true, Halo Combat Evolved was a great game because of the impact it had when it launched, taking the FPS genre to the next level. But each one of the games I listed had equal to or more impact on the industry than Halo.
But is it really up there with Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time, Metal Gear Solid, The Final Fantasy franchise (the good ones), Goldeneye 007, Super Mario 64, I think it mite be, but Im not sure. Some serious debate needs to be had over this.
The fanboys aren't completely wrong, but blowing it all out of proportion makes it hard to get all the facts together...
Damn it, You know what Im going to agree. Halo has had a pretty special affect on my life too, Nothing grand, but it created quite a few enjoyable moments and experiences
from gaming with my brother and friends 4 player split screen, to gaming online with fellow fans, It also offered a enjoyable solo and Co-op campaign.
Well it looks like MS's brainwashing was more successful than we had previously thought, lol.
SquareEnix seems adamant about making these games the way they want, regardless of all the player feed back begging for a return to FF tried and true roots. I just have to ask, Why!?
Lol, sorry I meant learning curve, My bad.
The graphics look fine for either, just for the love of god, No more linear hallways!
Agreed, Im not saying every game has to a have a learning curb equal to Demon's Souls, But this trend of hand holding is (bloody annoying) to say the least.
You know what you did in the past if you got your back side frequently handed to you? You got better! Not rage quit and refuse to play the game ever again because its to hard for you.
People need to learn to lose and then overcome obstacles, otherwise where's the reward? Whats the point?

@kesvalk
Yeah, God help us if she does start writing articles...
@WhiteLightning
Lol! Nice reference, I think its the Icon the throws you ;D
My fanboy glee was quickly ripped away and replaced by crushing disappointment, =( That was pretty bad right?
I think everyone in the west should take note of just how normal Japanese people turn out, especially when surrounded by all the stuff that's apparently supposed to mess you up.
Im not saying Japan is perfect, Where is? all im saying is, if we at least tried to be more open with things like violence and sex all the things the young generation in Japan witness all around them or watch in anime and such, growing up like that they probably are more open and less likely to co...
Yeah because the Wii is the only console in Japan and all the Shovelware titles are developed by Japanese devs. (Sarcasm)
The PS3, PSP, DS, 3DS, and also the "Wii" in Japan have more than enough quality titles.
They don't care much for Western games, and going by the mess of the current western developed games im partial to joining them.
I don't know why Nintendo made such a stupid mistake. Where they expecting everyone to buy the 3DS, when there was almost nothing worth buying it for?
Just make it so Link doesn't talk, I think Nintendo have enough good ideas to back it from there but, Oh what am I saying, it probably would suck Unfortunately.
It really does make you wonder who keeps writing these articles, I doubt they're talking for the majority of us that's for sure.
Lol! so we do have things in common :D
Yeah, Parents will do that. And they'll be the 1st to complain when the kid starts acting up, blaming it on games instead of their lousy parenting.
Why General Raam? he was a push over.
DMC-3 Virgil was pretty bad ass.
Playing Resonance of Fate now and loving it!.
Evil Zone, I remember that game but its almost as if it never existed, nobody else seems to have heard of it =/
Omega Boost, Awesome game! Cost £50 compared to the average £40 when it came out over here though but so worth it.
Odin Sphere should be on the list of underrated games too, I love that game. Z.O.E 2 is pretty underrated, I know mostly everyone who's played it loves it but ...
