I think for both consoles, nextgen actually starts later this year lol.
They launched too early. There's plenty of reasons to upgrade(FPS boost, Load times, Quick Resume etc) but the real content doesn't come until later this year.
Unless it's a remaster with Gears 5 level graphics(A remake at that point), I don't want it.
I wouldn't say it's a blow at all, people need a break from Gears even the hardcore fans agree, in the meantime we got plenty of new exclusives to look forward to.
It needs a refresh like God of War did and it's not gonna happen if people keep comparing it to the older Gears games.
