Well truthfully it depends on the player.
I prefer RPGs and MMOs. RPG can last a long time and has a high replay-ability rate. MMO never ends.
My cousin on the other hand prefers sport games and fps. He plays online a lot
I got him to TES4 once. Let just say he didn't get pass the beginning before get bored and frustrated with the game.
He tried to get me to play Madden with him. I played and hated it.

Sure fans what more content sooner but when it comes to Day 1 DLC they want it free regardless of which version/edition of the game they buy.
At this early of a stage, you probably won't see a working Prototype until later on this year if you're lucky. You most likely won't see the final product until January around CES time.
One of the many problems I see with Ouya is its internal storage. 8gb is nice but with some games needing additional 200mb-1gb, that data can run out quick.
Ouya at the end of the day is nothing more than a niche product. It won't appeal to everyone.
Nexon already offered to buy EA once this year. So if anyone going to try to get EA it would probably them depending on the price.

I don't mind Day 1 DLC long as its free to anyone who buys the game new regardless of edition/version.
Mario would of went downhill around the Dreamcast era/Sixth Generation of gaming. Nintendo would still be making consoles regardless.
Now if Sega and Nintendo fortunes was reverse then that's a whole different story.
The real question is...Would the reverse situation kept Sega in the console making business longer? Would Sega still be making consoles right now?

I would say get a Tegra 4 chip but since its slated for Q1 2013 and the Ouya is shipping out in March. Ouya would have to be delay unless Nvidia give the company the chip at the end of this year. Which I doubt would happen.
