If you going to be P2P nowadays you got to actively pump out new content if you want to survive....unless you are WoW.

The popularity of G4 has dwindle. Comcast killed it with all those reality shows. DirecTV was right for pull this garbage.

The problem with fanboys is that they're closed minded. They will defend a product until the bitter end even if that product is a total disaster/failure.

Sure they could add limited free-to-play for online games but I doubt that.

My 2006 360 finally kick the bucket. I got it to work after all the e74 errors and rrods. I just keep pressing the power button until it work again.

B2P(Buy-to-Play) would be a better model for gamers and developers. Developers can still see some revenue and gamers can enjoy a subscription-less game after buying the game once. Developers can still charge extra for expansions and etc like console game developers charge for DLC.
If a developer going to add a cash shop it should contain cosmetic items(fashion items) and mounts NOT power items that can boost the character stats or make leveling easy.
If true hopefully the representative focus on the console as a whole rather than just its tablet counterpart.
Its more of a niche product.
I doubt it will do any damage to the Big 3.

I highly doubt 3 months fan feedback is to blame for SWTOR failure.
$500m for an MMO is way too much to begin with.
SWTOR should have went B2P and allow users to pay for extra content. Premium Membership could have include all the extra content + beta testing new content for a yearly price. Heck if Bioware/EA wanted they could of added...
B2P with full access(GW2) vs F2P with limited access(SWTOR)
