What a waste of an article. Do yourself a favor and skip this nonsense.
MS clearly gets certain things within the console gaming industry. Clearly online gaming is what they are focused on since day one and have done well. XBOX Live and Gamepass to name a few.
However, when it comes to everything else, they seem to be dumb as rocks. Kojima has been pimping MS for years. If he is going to make a AAA title, it will be on PS first. The money and tools he gets from MS is testing grounds for his other bigger titles. Ask yourself, what great exclusiv...
I'm very disappointed that you can't fly into the planets. Not sure why No Man Sky and Elite Dangerous that are older games allow you but Starfield does not. They are all procedurally generated games. Nevertheless, I reserved judgement until I play the game tomorrow.
UK..home of the Playstation, seems like MS gets it...this time.
PS5 owners can always keep playing No Mans Sky....or just get Gamepass and play Starfield.
Only thing missing from what was promised is the ability to fly cars and catch the subway
Yup, another example that Ubisoft has no idea what they are doing.
"Commercially Accurate" = these idiotic gamers are going to pay whatever so we at R* can charge whatever.
I didn't expect any of those games to be good except for TLOU on pc. No disappointment here since to be disappointed one has to have better expections than the reality of what these games turned out to be. I did not.
Some games are better left as retro gaming. Give people access to the old games with upgraded visual resolution. Otherwise than that, complete waste of money creating a new Banjo. It won't sell well despite the love some people have for the game. Facts.
Nevermind that Sony was going to make it exclusive to the Playstation. Guess this clown who wrote the article and a several of the commentors below wouldn't have a problem if that ended up happening. The ignorance in the community is beyond appalling. I don't have a Series X nor S and would love to have seen it on my PS5 as well. However, I agree with you that its just dumb business sense for MS to make it multiplatform,.....at least initially.
I really don't care to get into these dopey platform rants but its really dopey to trust one platform and not the other especially since they are doing the exact same thing. Lets give you a little business education. When a company spend a huge sum of money in purchasing a game developing company, their first priority is to recoup its investment. In this case MS has to see how they can make money from acquiring Activision. COD makes a ton of money on both platforms so it would be ridicul...
Well in case if you haven't noticed, everything is going streaming because unlike the older gen (like myself), the current gen and younger gen are fine without owning any of their content. Physical media is just about gone and what has taken its place is paying for a service....Netflix, Amazon, GamePass, etc.
If you don't own the content you purchase, expect the prices to rise every year or couple of years. Comes with the territory. Its called revenue stream and will need to...
Gotta say its not that difficult to understand unless you have an axe to grind. Clearly Hines has one. COD makes tons of money on both consoles so it would be dumb business-wise for MS to make it exclusive to XBOX. Unlike Starfield which is not a proven IP, there is no way to know if it would make that same kinda money on PS. I'm sure Hines want it on PS since it would mean possible more money for the IP. Clearly Phil sees a greater benefit to the XBOX platform in making it exclusive. I a...
Well, it took me a while hoping that MS would be able to compete in the console space. I just wanted the competition because that's best for us as gamers. Never understood the dopey folks supporting one console over the other and engaging some of the dumb ranting on some of these boards.
Nevertheless, it became clear to me last-gen that MS had no idea what they were doing in the console game market. It was my last XBOX console because MS couldn't cater to my gaming ...
I have Netflix. They have increased the price multiple times. Prime Video, they have increased the membership. YouTube TV as well has increased the price. So what's the big deal? Well, in the case of YouTube and Prime, they try to give you something additional with the increase. Netflix has a track record of dropping good shows that many like. Even if its not much, MS should have learned and done the same or at least wait until you have some killer exclusive titles for at least a good tra...
If Spencer and his XBOX cast was smart (they are not), they would hold off on Halo and Gears until the next generation of consoles whatever that may be. It will create hype if you don't mention it for quite some time. Additionally, they should consider creating a new game in the Halo universe by another developer. That universe needs to be much more than the convenant and the flood. It also needs to be more than earth and those Halo rings. Halo is too simplistic and looks dated compare to...
First off, the difference between MS gamers and Sony gamers are the stupid fanboys on each side. Those in the middle just want great games no matter the console. Secondly, 30fps for a possible AAA single player game is no big deal only to the multiplayer nutbags since 60fps is standard requirement for playing competitive multiplayer.
To answer the initial question. The answer is no, it will take a heck of a lot more than Starfield to get me to buy another MS console with Sp...
Just when you think MS, XBOX and Spencer couldn't get any dumber....then there's this announcement. Geesh.
I'm positive Mr. Booty will not.
