on BOTH consoles.
There will always be a debate as to which version performs best, and for people who own both consoles, a difference in audio quality might be a deciding factor. But for people who only own 1 or the other (like me, impoverished students ftw) they're not going to enjoy the game any less on xbox 360 if thats the console they own, the differences are minimal, lossless audio is only significantly noticeable if you have high quality speakers. And I'm 99% sure the 360 ...
that it will be Natal-only.
Even if Natal does take off, the adoption rate will not be -that- fast, handsfree gaming is a nice concept, but it isn't going to replace being able to kick back with a controller and bash away, no developer is that narrow minded. I'm pretty sure if KI3 is made, it will go the way of Fable 3, and simply have Natal support.
FFVII, VIII and IX to have time to replay another RPG, haha for some reason those games just dont get old when you replay them.
I do have Mass Effect completed, I think I'll be happy with the path I take to ME2 which I have pre-ordered, first Special Edition game I'll have ever bought too :)
Leave the "war" to the beaurocrats.
At the end of the day, real gamers play what they want to and give the middle finger to anyone to tries to belittle their choice of title.
I don't own a PS3, but I've played Uncharted 2 and I agree, it is one of the best games to date this generation. But to use it as a pivot to take a dig at xbox gamers for preferring to play ODST is a little... redundant.
Vice Versa. 2 million ODST sales in 24 hours isnt a...
FF14 is an MMORPG, whereas FF13 is an Action RPG, they're two different experiences.
Could argue by your logic World of Warcraft has a larger world than FF13, lol.
FF14 isn't PS3 exclusive either, its hitting PS3 and they may release an Xbox 360 version of the game, they said they were looking at the possiblity.
I guess you could argue that third party games are held back slightly for DVD9's but certainly not the actual machine, 360 is more than capable of handling modern games.
But bite the bullet and go for Blu-ray, no. When Xbox 360 was launched the Xbox Division was making losses not profits, now the Xbox Division is in the black and making money. Maybe the better option would be to embrace another format or make one of their own a la Nintendo.
Case example: HD-VMD, it ...
People asked those same questions about Final Fantasy 7. Sony published the console release and Eidos the PC, so who owns more/all rights? Difference here is the pc publisher now own the development studio responsible, but the answer is still the same.
The developer owns the IP.
The dispute stemmed from the fact that there was a rumour Microsoft had contracted Bioware to bring the trilogy as a 360 exclusive, and publish it themselves.
In this case, I rea...
All three formats will have a good dose of titles in 2009. I don't think there will be a clear winner. I do have three predictions though.
1) Sony will give the PS3 a decent price cut and we'll see sales rocket as a result.
2) Both NXE and Home will start to take off with a whole host of new features. That much is a given.
3) Some kind of new handheld will be announced. I don't think it will be from Microsoft either.
Slightly off-top...
It's just PR at the end of the day. All 3 companies do it, all 3 companies are ultimately, a business.
I just play the games that I enjoy. Thats what a consoles all about but some have forgotten that and spend more time trolling forums talking their chosen format up, rather than actually playing on it.
Sony published the title on Playstation, but they don't own the publishing rights exclusively. Eidos published the same title on PC. Same as Microsoft Game Studios published Mass Effect but it ended up on PC and the sequel will more than likely go multi.
Shadow Flare - "An FFVII remake for PS3. And Sony owns the rights to FFVII so there is no chance Xbox 360 will ever see it. But keep begging anyway, we know you will."
I own both consoles, if its a remake I get it regardless, but. I think you have your information very wrong. A companies IP is owned by the company that made it unless it wasnt their creation. For example Microsoft created the Halo and PGR IP's, and outsourced them to Bungie and Bizarre Creations, hence...
None of you read it thoroughly, I think most people lost the beginning when he said he'd just finished it, he obviously has played it from what he's saying, meaning he'd have a ps3, fanboy nothing.
He makes valid points, for all its hype, the lack of modes is dissapointing.
It is a great game, but its not what it was said to be. A lot of people said the same thing about Halo 3 and GTA IV for that matter. That issue stretches beyond this game alone.
One solution, a disk format using the red diodes. There are others, no need to rule out a GTA V release on an MS format for sure.
Why it was filed under playsation 3 myself either. Visuals do look to impressive to be a Wii title but I'm not going to rule out a 360 version or it being ps3 and 360 release, like Last Remnant is going to be.
Star Ocean is like FF, it is actually popular in some of the western territories, multi-format release may make sense.
Sony exec in bashing the competition shocker.
And I did say the rumour was very unlikely.
But undeniably despite Square Enix being known for long development times, its highly unusual to see such little news about a hyped title, normally the delay is compensated by trailer after trailer and news snippets, aside from a couple trailers and a few scans, its been sparse.
MGS4 on the other hand, has had a lot of related news leading to its announced release date.
Nothing but a passing observation....
They really need to change a lot of things around this time, the engine for a start, its so outdated.
Feel that the trickling of news surrounding FFXIII is because they're waiting to see how PS3 sales match ps2, putting the exclusivity in question.
I remember articles posted about a gaming executive in france saying the exclusivity was being talked about, need to find the darn link.
I find it highly unlikely it'll be seen outside of a Sony format, but that rumour was never quashed by anybody.
Edit:
Further reaffirms my opinion that Rockstar are an amazing developer, despite my view that the past GTA's were better than IV.
Hopefully the next GTA goes back to its roots a little, but for now this title looks great :)
