Eventually even Microsoft (and it's investors) get tired of throwing money at failed hardware. Remember Zune or Windows Phone or MSN Watch? It's naive to think it's impossible for xbox to head down the same path.

PS4 also has far better 3'rd party support. That's why nearly every week in 2017 there were new retail exclusives to buy many weeks there was multiple games to choose from. While at the same time xbox went 12 months in a row with only 2 retail exclusives.
If your fine just buying the multiplatform games (which are also on PS4) so be it but given the sales domination by PS4 last year obviously most people value the exclusives.

Phil is rolling into his 4'th year at the helm... When should he have started doing things like creating new games and investing in studios? If he starts now it's going to be 4-5 years before any projects start to bear fruit. Perhaps if he had started 4 years ago xbox wouldn't be in the situation it's in now.
