I opted to get a Series X. I'll wait for the inevitable PS5 redesign. The launch PS5 is too white, too big, and too ugly. I own a PS4 and Sony already said they're supporting that for at least 2-3 more years, so I'm good for now.
You can play a lot of Playstation "exclusives" on PC now too.
There will definitely be a slim model, because the PS5 is just massive in size. I can also see a Pro model when/if 8K grows in popularity.
I usually trade my consoles in, but currently I am satisfied with my PS4 Pro for the time being. I'm thinking to upgrade to the PS5 once the initial hype dies down, but I might just wait until they offer more options for the PS5.
That's great news. I'm still enjoying my PS4 Pro and see no immediate need to upgrade to a PS5. I also have a backlog of games that I need to play along w/ various DLC. It doesn't seem to make sense to focus solely on PS5 when a lot of gamers can't even get their hands on one yet.
I agree. It's one of my favorite games of all time. I'm surprised I overlooked it when it first released.
I avoid buying consoles at launch. There's always issues like the infamous RROD for Xbox 360 or the noisy PS4 Pro fan. Not to mention you can get better deals/bundles later on.
I guess now the question is will our saves transfer from the PS4 version to the PS5 version. Some of those boss fights were incredibly difficult and I'd hate to have to defeat them again.
It's honestly pretty similar, although I did notice the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS during the battle. The framerate difference is only really noticeable during fast action sequences on the screen such as during combat and even then it isn't as pronounced as say in a FPS game.
4K gaming is really expensive on PC. But it's relatively affordable on PS4 Pro, PS5, X1X, XSX, etc. Most PC gamers still game at 1080p, while console gamers are playing at 1440p or higher w/ decent framerates.
Completely agree, although you can play PS exclusives through PS Now on PC. That said, the UI for most consoles is in my opinion more user-friendly than on PC. I also tend to experience less crashing on console than on PC.
I split my time between PC and PS4. The thing I don't like about PC is the graphics cards are really expensive, there are cheaters, some of the games aren't optimized and you have to constantly toggle various settings, you have to worry about drivers, spec requirements are always changing, etc. I prefer modern consoles, because they seems to give you more bang for your buck.
I tend to buy both digital and physical depending on which is cheaper. Physical is cool because I can buy used games and I can also sell my games when I'm done with them. Digital is cool because it reduces unnecessary clutter and I don't have to get up and go to my console to switch games. I honestly hope they keep both options around.
300 bucks is still kind of a lot to ask considering the new consoles are just around the corner and will cost 500 bucks before tax and before games/accessories bought. Still it has my interest, but by the time I can afford a new VR set, PSVR 2 will probably be out.
Hopefully, they offer something similar for PS5. But overall a really solid deal. I purchased my past 2 consoles through similar trade-in deals.
I just play on Normal mode. I don't like it to be too easy, but I also don't like it to be too hard either. I will say that playing a game on easy mode seems kind of pointless as the whole point of a game is for it to provide somewhat of a challenge and you never really get good at a game by playing on Easy.
They've released RE4 so many times, I'm not sure a RE4 remake is even necessary.
Ok, she was walking in the New 52. Also this game doesn't take place in the Arkhamverse.
Glad they made it free, because I probably wouldn't have played it otherwise.
I'll just wait. In a few months, PS5 will likely have more games and come in more colors.
