thanks for your replies, I was actually asking because I don't like games that are too long, 1) because I get bored (GTA4) and 2) I don't get loads of game time so it'd take months to complete! so you could be looking at 25-30 hours for RDR, which for me is perhaps too long I think to keep me interested, may give it a spin though
How long does it take to complete the game?
I mean not including all optional missions, just the main bulk of the game?
I didn't say anything about missing out all of the other major components of a good game! :)
I think destructible environments are almost a necessity these days, that's one thing I hate about COD, and why I just can't go back to it after playing BFBC
destructible environments make a game more diverse, and also create more immersion and you don't get the feeling your just playing in a fake environment
Not sure how you can tell just from 5 early screenshots that its more of the same.
I remember before KZ2 launched GG were already working on improvements to the graphics engine, like realtime water reflections etc I have no doubt visually and technically this game will be amazing
they mention in the details about the way the snow lands on your gun and then melts as your gun gets hot - I mean that is just attention to amazing detail!
kz2 controlled amazingly, like a real fps should
it just wasn't a floating gun like people have with cod, felt really good
and the online community is far from dead, i suspect you haven't actually been on recently
games should speak for themselves, shouldnt have to have a bl**dy circus (a great one at that) doing a show to get the media attention, all bark no bite maybe
batman + the batmobile - awsome!
This gen Sony have just been alot smarter - yes they have let some 3rd party exclusives go but they have a strong 2nd party base and an even stronger bunch of 1st party studios, producing arguably the best games we have seen this gen across all platforms
when sony loses a 3rd party exclusive, its not losing it completely, it just means its coming out multiplat so sony doesn't really lose, so long as it keeps its strong 1st party base they know they will be fine
exclusives DO move hardware, people may not buy a ps3 when that exclusive comes out, but they certainly buy hardware either after its out, or in anticipation of it coming out
I would say the exclusives are what sell the ps3 the most, as they are what make it stand out from the crowd
maybe I have sub-HD eyes, because I really cannot see hardly if any difference - and i suspect it#ll bother me even less so when I am actually playing the game
isn't natal suppose to be out this year?! yet they are not prepared for the public to play it until September? uh oh.
ha ha, bless them
I love this game, as good as mario kart for me, in fact better as it looks glorious and has a magnitude of create/share features that other katr games can ony dream of!
I hope this has a MASSIVE community, looking forward to some great tracks
oh, and the load times are being fixed, that's already been said
there is a massive feature in this months official playstation mag which I have read - but I guess they could be covering the xbox 360 version right? muppets.
Let them have their fun, I'm not sure what these articles try and prove - we all know what the ps3 is capable of, showing or trying to prove slightly inferior graphically multiplats will never change that
funny thing is, it gets only very slightly higher scores than the 360 version, yet the total is .1 lower
360: 9.5, 9.0, 9.5, 10, 10 = 9.8
ps3: 9.5, 9.5, 10, 9.5, 10 = 9.7
not that it matters, but as far as journalism goes, surely that's inconsistent
"I don't see how GT5 will offer more than Forza to get sooo much hype and excitement"
I think you need to 1) research the GT franchise and 2) maybe try one
The GT franchise is huge, 53million sold worldwide and has always been known as arguably the best driving simulator to date and sets the example with graphical power and driving accuracy
add that to the fact that this is the 1st one being released for current gen consoles, wi...
there are already sub 50" 3d tv's in the uk
Samsung have several including 40"
The reason people want that (third party games for one console), is because theoretically it should be a better game. We see loads of multiplat games coming out for both consoles, and one way or another they are limited by the other console, so when its done just for one, that console can be developed for specifically, using its power, storage etc etc, you would think leading to a better game
people argue about power of each console all the time, but there is a reason why we...
ok, so we have a giant ipod touch? or am I missing something?
