Based on my disagrees, it's clear that people here don't understand economics 101.
When there's an expectation for a product to sell at a lower price, the demand for the product theoretically should decrease until that date because people are rational. Why would most people want to buy a Wii U now when it's going to be offered for a better value in the future?
I'm surprised Wii U sales haven't plummeted after the announcement of the price drop.
Atari's just looking for company.
Speak for yourself. Wii U and PC are my primary systems for this generation.
If this systems sells well this holiday and regains third party support, people will have less of a reason to get an Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
But I forgot, you're not here to argue honestly.
I'm surprised at the minimum specs. More surprised that I was actually right about the jump being low enough to not require an immediate upgrade. Of course, if you desire the best sellings, then you'll have to do some upgrading (if you haven't done so in the past year or two already).
Minimum requirements for Battlefield 3
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or Althon X2 2.7 GHz
RAM: 2GB

Is it really worth the extra cost though?
More games is something I can agree with.
While I disagree with the convenience point (it really isn't hard to put your system in a suit case or even a bag and bring it with you on vacation. I just did it with my Wii U a couple days ago.), you make a good point in your second paragraph. Hopefully this things sells well enough to make the increase in software sales worthwhile.
Wait a minute, no it doesn't. I'm surprised you even got "agrees". If it did, it would be redundant and wouldn't be so cheap.
Come on now. Don't be sour. I don't agree with the score either, but it's just an opinion from one site.
I sure hope Sony can nail this generation. Perhaps they do have more in store that will include family oriented games.
Not in the slightest in my opinion.
I think PS Vita TV is a terrible idea.
In summation, it's a device with the PS Vita System UI that allows you to play PSV, PSP, PS1 and Media content only on your TV. Also since it has the PS Vita UI it is able to play all PS4 games via remote play powered by Gaikai.
First of all, between the PSV, the new model, and PSV TV, they're going to end up confusing consumers unless they can find a way to e...
With the way Sony has been performing lately, this was the last thing I expected.
Well Nintendo (Since Xbox's performance here is practically a joke), here's another window of opportunity.
When you're a fanboy and it's a fact that the company(ies) you're not a fan of has/have nearly a 0% failure track record, you begin to get jealous and feel that it's unfair for this to be the case and demand that they fail.
Who in the right mind would have such intense personal connections to a corporation that not even the employees that work there care about as much? The fanboy.
@stuff But are big families going to be playing Killzone Shadow Fall or even want a PS4? PS4 doesn't seem to be the type of console for families.
I see the points being made here and they are valid, but it's very hard to point out a clear and available market for this new device.
Lmao. Wow, I ask a simple question that just about anyone in real life would ask and I get called a fanboy of all kinds. It's the only word in people's vocabulary around here.
It's not about options as you actually have to buy the thing. PS Vita TV is pretty much a watered down PS3 in almost every way, which you can already get for $199 at least.
@snitch Can you read? I'm talking about PS Vita TV. PS Vita TV is not portable as it needs to be h...
I'm a Nintendo/PC guy (I have to state this because I know how Sony fanboys are on here), but how does this effect Xbox One in any way at all?
In fact, why would anyone want play, say, Borderlands 2 on the big screen with PS Vita when they can play it with better graphics on a PS3, 360, or PC?
You can with Wii U ;)
Hey, guys.
Sorry I didn't get to cover the PS4 and Xbox One more (time constraints). Two topics I didn't get to discuss were Sony's unique approach to indie games (Between The Witness and Daylight and others, they've picked out some nice indie games) as well as Microsoft restructuring their indie policies to be more indie friendly.
I think we're going to see a noticeable change this generation.
Yep.
