Agreed (I edited that part out as you were commenting so that wasn't meant to be there). Wii U will have to start selling better if we're to see ports of next-generation multiplats. It'll be interesting to see just how well Wii U fairs.
That being said, I think the big point that was being made in the video was that these consoles are using PC architecture. There's no real potential or secret sauce for them to unlock because developers are familiar with it'...
They did in fact take advantage of the better lighting on Wii U, that combined with the higher image quality, remind of NFS:MWU. Even with mandatory HDD install to keep the fps/textures up, the ps3 is really showing it's GPU age. If more time/effort were put into the U version, the improvements would be even larger. They done good for a port over.

Improvements in this game compared to the current generation console versions look more noticeable than in previous ports of other games. Looks like PS3 and 360 are finally starting to show their age.

Approved, but you're a little bit late to the party on this subject. Nintendo has already started releasing games and marketing them for the Wii U. It's the reason why, so far, Pikmin 3 has been selling well.

Didn't really PS3 was getting so many multiplats. Also Wii U is doing great as well.
Let's hope the number of games coming to the next gen platforms reflects positively when sales time comes around.
