I think someone is doing this outta spite.
It makes sense to limit the stock of Wii U products, but 3ds is the current champ for hardware sales monthly. The only excuse to stop supporting the 3ds is somebody is trying to make a statement because there is no shortage of market for the 3ds
oh well that's better. I must of been looking at one region by mistake. maybe Europe, cuz looking again I see jak 1 sold 2mil in the US alone.
My faith in humanity is restored! praise Jebus
oldie but a goodie, just like the man himself
He just wants to get back in front of the camera again, even if it's only the NSA watching
I was looking to make a naughty dog comment a while back in support of them doing a new jak instead of a new uncharted, so looked at how many sold. sadly the amazing jak series sold less than a million copies of all except 1 of them which only got inot the 1mil range.
Sales means nothing, quality means everything. But it bothers me how many gamers have completely AWFUL taste in games to where a game like Avatar based on the movie, can sell 2x as many copies as Jak and Daxter
what's the point of this?
console gamers play because they don't want to have to upgrade. they want a one time purchase that doesn't require taking it apart and changing components.
PC gamers can already upgrade on their pc, and the steam OS is also able to be used there, as well as steam access.
what is new and different that they are doing to attract customers?
I used to really be into a game called MAG. I mean really into it.
I was pretty fat, cliched gamer geek there, about 6ft 260lbs
I got so into the game that I literally lost 45lbs in 3 months of it's release. During this time there was no exercising, no just would wake up play, go to work, come home play till 4am sleep a few hours play... repeat
There was times I went 3 days without eating.
By the time I was starting to get over the game I was about 185lbs....
The greatest "PC" system ever was the Phantom, hands down. So mysterious :)
I like heavy rain but I wish he could better learn the "game" part. He's got STORY down pat. But he hasn't learned how to marry the two, and that keeps the games from greatness. QTEs are not the preferred gaming method. We let it slide for the great amount of choice we get with the story but I doubt anyone could say that wouldn't rather have that quality of story without any QTEs.
Look at Bioshock to see what a skilled creator can do by marrying story and gamepla...
lol as time changes, things stay the same.
I can remember back in the PS1 era renting from Hollywood video to find demo discs in the box instead of the real thing.
you took my quote outta context.
I choose ps4 because I know that there won't be new upgrades I'll need for future ps4 releases. 8 years from now that same box will play new games without me having to buy some new piece to make it reach the quality.
We are not clueless, and with plus I could go without ever buying a game at all and still have a dozen games a year for only 50$ so pricewise pc is no better either.
I played it in the beta. might be better now but doubt it.
In the beta I had the standard equipment. I could put my entire clip into a guy at close range. only take down his shield. His shield would regenerate to 100% before my character could even reload.
That is what I am referring to.
And no it is not okay in any instance to be pay to win. If you HAVE to buy to have the game be playable, be up front about it and charge.
you are living under a rock if you don't think KI is getting hate and pessimism.
being f2p is only 1 minor reason, the main reason is the developers track record.
It isn't being made by rare, the people who are making have such amazing games in their resume as
Green Later: rise of the manhunters
and GIJOE: the Rise of Cobra
I hope they make a good game though, I'll never play it as I'm getting ps4, but they are also making the new Strid...
I have only played 1 f2p game (dust 514) and I hated it.
The game forces you to pay to win and therefor is completely unenjoyable.
If games keep doing that then they won't be getting me on board f2p.
technically isn't Mario 1 the most sold game ever? because it came bundled with the NES I think it sold probably at least 25mil copies if not 40 or 50 counting rereleases on gameboys and wii shop etc.
Won;t be obsolete, My PS4 will still play games at the best possible setting 8 years from now. If I was to buy a PC it would be obsolete long before that.
That is why I'm a console gamer. I care more about story, gameplay and style than graphics. And I've found those to be far better in console games Naughty Dog for instance.
can people stop linking to sites that have nothing but popup ads. This site is terrible
Don't think so. Watch dogs looks like a game that has been in the works for like 3 years. Hell it was first shown long before there was even a X1 or PS4
But as a new Ip I think we will see it only sell maybe 7 million to 9 million copies between every system. Which is still a ton, but it won't come close to the sales of GTA5
If they never bothered with Knack and instead put all their guys onto Last Guardian. Think of having that a launch game...
yeah terribly worded, but by gen 5 I think he means 5th iteration of the playstation brand as that is the only company that will still be around :) just kidding :)
