Rising does take place after MGS4, around 4 years after and there hasnt been full explaination on that spoiler topic you wrote, but Kojima did say that it will be explained in the game. Also Kojima said himself the game was not his idea in the first place, and he always said he did not think stealth fit in the game with Raiden. You can read more about the game and see what kojima said under 'plot'
Yeah they announced the Gray Fox skin in Japan is Special Edition only, Europe it comes in all copies of the game regardless of edition and America has it the worst having to pre-order from Gamestop to get it. Lucky people in europe...
"Gray Fox Armor – allows you to be more awesome"
Why havent they shown ^ that one yet? Im really excited to see how it looks, that is the one I really care about, oher than that, I think the white one looks best, than the green, than the red. Sucks that they have to be retail specific pre-order bonuses :/
Thats why they are not doing the storytelling, Kojima Productions is. They are in charge of the story, they are writing the script, the codec dialouges, and are partly in charge of cutscenes.
If you don't see this as a Metal Gear game you are probably being ignorant or you just dont want it to be a Metal Gear game. Art Direction and presentation are as they are because it is Platinum Games engines, but animations for soilders and the models in the game plus a lot of the characters seem very Metal Gear Solid, like how I can see Sam relating to Vamps appearance, as well as Mistral (lady with all the arms) resembling the design of Fortune a little (from MGS2) and it seems to be v...
At least there is going to be a Gray Fox skin for the game which I am excited about (unfortunately its a pre-order exclusive at gamestop).
Is it possible to suck at the DmC demo? It was extremely easy even on Son of Sparda (hardest difficulty given) I seriously wonder how many people even died at all with their first play through the game.
Yes I consider Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing a real sonic game and a Uncharted: Fight For Fortune, but like what I was trying to say in my first comment they are not part of the main game series, they are are a seperate series of games that are made within the universe of the main game series with a different genre and most times subtitle to differentiate them. There is nothing wrong with companies trying to expand the universe, as long as they are keeping the main series alive (not repla...
Raiden was powerful enough to stop Outer Haven as said by Baodeus, he easily killed a few Gekkos like in the video posted by Knight_Crawler, plus he defeated a whole squad of men with his sword in his mouth and with his feet and this is 4 years after that with a more advanced cyborg body. I'm not surprised with the advancement in technology in the universe timeline.
As a very big Metal Gear fan since PS1 and MGS1, its obvious to me that this is a true Metal Gear game, I dont see why people would see otherwise.
-Its has Metal Gear Characters from MGS2 and MGS4 (Raiden, Sunny, and possibly others to be seen like the rumoured Solidus being referenced and possibly appearing)
-It has Metal Gear Units (such as the Ray and Gekkos)
-Takes place on the Metal Gear timeline and Universe (4 years after Metal Gear Solid 4)
-...
@Lvl_up_gamer
Why are you asking for a PS3 exclusive with 4 player co-op and all that other stuff? Just because it may not be there, doesnt mean its not possible, because there have been multiplatform games that easily show its possible.
MGS4 as it is now will cost to much for Kojima to do, and the only way to make it cheaper is to cut things out, compress things, or just make it look worse, and Kojima is not the type of developer to work under such restrict...
The original Kojima Rising team should really work on a Gray Fox, he deserves a spin off and that's probably the only cyborg ninja that is capable of having stealth elements because of the time he is in, being the first ninja, and he has stealth camo while also having destructive power. Also the game I think can take place on shadow moses for a majority of the game and maybe some other envoirments and they can even start the game off with a mission or 2 from when Gray Fox was Null (as see...
There should be no worries, this game will be great, especially with the lack of great Hack and Slash titles its coming out in great time (Ninja Gaiden 3 was eh, DmC is looking and feeling terrible, all there is left is God of War Ascension in march) plus this is obviously a real Metal Gear game with Kojima and his team on it, its just not Metal Gear Sloid. Platinum games basically created the genre and they defined it with their Devil May Cry franchise, plus the know how to do action as seen...
For anyone who doesn't know (like the author in the article) putting Donte in the game over Dante was not superbots decision, they tried to get Dante but capcom did not allow Dante, or any sort of Dante skin or anything, they only provided Donte, and it was either that or nothing so superbot took him. As for Crash, negotiations and agreements still have yet to be done between superbot and activision (plus he throws wumpa fruit not apples lol) as well as the talks between superbot and squa...
Devil May Cry 2 was not as bad as people say it is, it got a little weird story wise, but the combat was better than the first game, and adding Lucia brought something new (I think that was her name) and Devil May Cry 2 felt and played better than DmC.
Haters gonna hate with a proven right to hate
That was awesome, it showed what it took to master the combat, he used variety of every melee weapon, multiple styles, and he managed to maintian in the air that long and not get hit too. Now staying in the air in DmC is easy enough for Call of Duty players to do it, and its possible for anyone to fight and not get hit once in DmC on the hardest difficulty possible offered in the demo, and the rank fills up real quick with one enemy, in the video it took A LOT to even get to just A.

Thats like saying people should compare PS All Stars only with SSB on nintendo 64 because they are both the first game in each series, but you dont see anyone doing that.
The demo was horrible, the loading screen lead me into huge disappointment, because the loading screen combat look smooth and pretty good, and then you play it, and you see how unresponsive, easy, and slow it really is, framerate didnt not even maintain 30fps, it was all just bad. Demo did more harm than good imo, it basically showed there is reason to hate this game.
I was about to say how can a cardboard box work when every cyborg basically has access to IV, but then I read the Box description. Pretty cool how they did that
