WHAT!? this is the worst fix you could possibly do, hundreds of people have done this and it always breaks down again. The only permanent fix to YLOD is Re-balling the PS3's GPU and CPU with Leaded solder (it's manufactured with Lead-free solder).
After you've done that swap out the thermal paste with something better (ICD7, AS5, Shin-Etsu etc) and get a 19" Japanese fan which came in the original 60GB Japanese models and are much smoother, cooler and quieter...

Real life racing is intense, the sense of speed is just off the hook and the adrenaline rushing through your body to cross the line in first place is breath taking.

Because it's a cheap trick. Crytek don't need smoke & mirrors to make their games look good, their engine is powerful enough to do it all in real-time.
Strip the filters away and the game looks horrendous, the low res textures is are actually visible but you fanboys choose not to acknowledge their existence.
Unlike KZ Crysis 2 doesn't need enormous amounts of blur to hide bad textures because it's texture already look outstanding.

KZ3's engine can't even do half of what the Cry Engine 3 does in REAL-TIME, so how it can ever look better is beyond me.
