What we need to do is stop making articles about it.
Yeah, didn't even go into the article yet and know it's BS. I've only played the Garden Ops, I haven't even touched competitive mp yet. Off that alone it already is deserving of atleast 4/5. Then, knowing all main DLC will be free just boosts them even further. The graphics are very good for the style and texture quality is high. The 3D plants animate very cool in their cartoony style, and the gameplay is actually fun. It's too polished to be scored this low.
The game looks beautiful, but I can't lie, it looks linear as hell. Everytime I see a gameplay video, I joke to my friend that it's a new sequel to Time Crisis. I can just imagine pressing the foot pedal to move forward along the conveyer belt of a scene. Plus, the enemey AI looks downright abysmal.
I set it up recently. It doesn't play any of my mp3 files, and alot of videos don't work. I went to google and looked it up, it seems that most videos use to work until like PS4 System Update 1.7 or so. I got a converter they suggested 'Handbrake' and converted an avi I had to mp4 with 'web optimization' checkboxed. It made that vid play afterwards, but it's still way less than ideal to use this method.
I much rather fire up my PS3 for streaming in...
Who's even been crying for Fez 2 recently? It's him bringing it up, cuz he needs the $$$ to support his lifestyle he began after bags of money from Fez fell in his lap. He's trying to get some twitter activity going strong on it so he can come around like some hero. Instead, he gets nothing, so he's lashing out and throwing fits.
LOL @ "Bungie lawyers objected that if O’Donnell’s shares were restored, he would be a “bothersome presence at board meetings and in the company,” according to the arbitrator."
What a dumb argument to try to steal his shares. Oooh, his presence will be bothersome at board meetings if we can't rip him off. That's such an idiotic thing to say in defense of firing and robbing a guy of huge sums of invested $$$. As if the arbitrator is gonna even take that into ...
@Clown_Syndr0me,
Actually, if they weren't greedy sniveling little snots, they'd realize it'd be better to give competitive mp mappacks free like Gorilla is doing with Killzone. And like shooters use to do on PC, like Epic Games UT games. The reason is that it keeps the community strong, and ensures everyone is around for huge day 1 sales in the next game in the series. They make way more than enough money on other packs they sell, and co-op missions and customiza...
Well, it's just the Store, Home, and Account Management, unless you don't log in from yesterday through then. So, I wouldn't even notice it, considering I doubt I'd be messing with Account Management for any reason during that time. There's no reason for me to visit the store again until Tuesday really, and Home isn't on PS4 and I rarely messed with it on PS3.
I miss the dismemberment. COD is always gonna suck with them charging for map packs though. Because whether you buy them all or buy none, you get left with a smaller pool of players in the end. I'm sick of not being able to find Kill Confirmed matches after 11pm-Midnight after the 2nd-3rd map pack releases, just cuz I chose to not buy them. Why do I have to pay a WOW subscription for COD just to be able to find a few matches at night?
@SilentNegotiator, Yeah, I was thinking that too, it went with the mini-dvd of only around 1.2 GB or something. It was the last decently powered Nintendo though. They also have all those strict rules. For instance, The Binding of Isaac that is gonna be ported to next-gen isn't going to Nintendo and can't go on 3DS where the dev would love to bring it because of the religious rules of Nintendo. So, they have a lot of problems other than just console power - I agree with you wonderfulm...
I think people are missing a big reason - The system is horribly under-powered compared to X1 and PS4. Alot of these AAA next-gen 3rd party games are struggling to keep up with their PC counterpart on X1/PS4. Wii U would take alot more time down-porting, and if a Wii U user saw comparison pics or vids of the game on X1/PS4, that alone might make them skip the game. Some games just wouldn't work without taking out whole features and fx to get it to run on Wii U. There are a plethora of rea...
That's an interesting issue I wouldn't have thought of.
To be honest, I have no idea. I'm looking for answers myself. Guess I'll have to go fish it out of google or whatever.
Does anyone know? - When they said they toned the visuals down to look more indie, is that just for the teaser, or do they plan to keep it that way for the actual game too? Cuz it looks crazy real already, I'd like to see how much further it could go if this isn't it at it's fullest.
It's gonna be hard to beat that caring story. Phil Spencer is alot better for MS than anyone in recent past, but Yoshi is on a whole nother level. If they'd only stop screwing around and get DLNA here already.
The aliasing in it is weird though. Some things from far have aliasing that's a little noticeable. It's not at all visible when you're close to things, and that slight blur that happens when you hit R3 to zoom in on stuff is really nice. Cuz it doesn't make things all muddily blurred, it's like a half blur like your character is a little dazed or something.
I've yet to play for more than a few minutes, shit was too scary. I gotta play again, I played ...
Pretty cool. Fox Engine isn't that bad either, the P.T. teaser game is pretty damn photorealistic for realtime gameplay.
It's pretty damn fun, and I haven't even played the competitive mp yet, just the regular Garden Ops. All the card packs are priced nicely, and you earn the coins for them pretty quickly. One of the main reasons I got it is because I knew they were giving all the main DLC for free. I always support that, and the fact I loved PvZ on PS3 and played the hell out of it.
The X1 price is already $30 on Amazon, so I assume the PS4 version will go down in atleast a few months ...
Looking good. So what's up with those rumors, is it gonna have co-op or not?
Because they're much more familiar with the hardware and can pull the most out of them in their advanced age. And most importantly, their user install base is super huge, and not as risky with sales predictions.
