While far from being confirmed, this is exciting "news."
I'm one of the people who, when I joined the next-gen, got rid of my PS2.
There are plenty of titles that I would love to play, that I never got a chance to, like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, etc.
Too be able to do that without having to drop $100+ on a PS2 and software would be awesome.
Think I'll wait til it drops in price.
The idea of spending my money on maps I've already bought does not sit well with me.
Even if there is new expansion material with it. In my eyes, that's not worth $60.
Here's hoping Reach gets priced fairly for the content and effort put into it. (New Engine anyone?)
Haha nice.
I'm curious as to how they re-tooled martyrdom. I never really had a huge problem with it, but if they can make it better, I'm all for it.
The shotgun change is cool too. I never really used it as a primary, but I may just be tempted to use it as a secondary...
I definitely agree with you that it's an attempt to keep Halo in our sights. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
And I also agree that for the most part, it is the consumers' fault for continually shelling out $60 for under-achieving money grabbers. I know I've been guilty in the past, but I'm opening my eyes. This screams GameFly all the way...
But that's enough complaining for me. I'm just going to keep my mouth shut, and protest by not buying the game. It's just tha...
I'm a fan of Halo, but you will not be seeing me on ODST for a long time. The thought of re-buying all of the Halo 3 maps, with only the addition of a couple of new maps, a short campaign, and Firefight mode, makes me sick.
That's what I'm getting for my $60? Really? The same crap I already bought for the game I already bought? How about DLC that I can add to Halo 3? Oh wait...that would make too much sense.
I'm sorry Bungie, if the price point isn't your fault. You...
Yea, I had about the same experience as everybody else. Took me about 4 or 5 times to get the update downloaded, but finally got it finished last night.
Now I have to make it through work all day, and even then, I have to wait til 8 tonight to play it... AHHH! Pure torture...
Wow. Now that is a broken list...
No love for Fallout? No love for the Orange Box? Mass Effect is an honorable mention?
Halo Wars is the 3rd best game for the 360? Really?
Surely you're joking...
Is MW2 going to break boundaries for the game industry in the graphics and gameplay department? Probably not...
Am I going to have a blast staying up all night playing this with friends? Hell yes!
Sounds good to me...
Hmm...nothin' like a Top 10 to stir up some discussion
I guess for the most part, I agree with the list. The Orange Box and Bioshock should be higher, but that's personal preference I guess.
I would imagine the reason Fallout 3 isn't on there, is because as a first-person shooter, it's downright terrible. The aiming mechanics are abysmal, good luck hitting anything accurately while not in VATS. Now, before I get flamed, I'm not saying Fallout is a bad game. As an Act...
Always thought she was more of a swallower...
Hmm...
Gonna have to say:
Uncharted 2
Borderlands
Modern Warfare 2
Assassin's Creed 2
Operation Flashpoint 2
Left 4 Dead 2
In no particular order..
Definitely agree.
Looking forward to this one alot.
I don't mind the new box art, I do agree that it is a much more streamlined design.
Too bad I'm OCD and the whole not matching thing is gonna kill me haha. Guess I'll get over it...
"PS3 fanboys generally come across as emotionally retarded 14-year-olds with severe learning disabilities and a crippling dependency on the validity of a hunk of plastic as a means of proving their own worth."
Hmm...that's an interesting observation. And XBOX fanboys don't?
I'm so tired of this "console war." But I guess it comes with the internet territory...
Why can't we all just accept that each system has it's own strengths and fl...
I'm sorry, but how exactly do you know that the new game is only worth 29.99? Have you played the whole game? Do you have some kind of inside information that I haven't heard?
Look, I agree, it may be a little early for a sequel, but from everything I have heard from Valve, who I trust to a certain degree, this game is a true sequel, forth the full price.
So I ask again, how do you know?
So...why exactly is this news?
Oh yea. Cause it's XBOX Lifestyle.
That explains it.
I'm a fan of both systems, but seriously, this whole "console war" is just getting ridiculous...
Sony just keeps making all the right moves...
Awesome news, I can't wait for this.
That's why I don't buy used games. If I can find it new, I usually buy that copy. It's what, $5 more at Gamestop for new? And by doing so, you're supporting the developers who put a lot of time and energy into making that game.
I don't agree with his argument. But...maybe if people just decided to put forth the extra 5 bucks, and actually support these developers, then there wouldn't be a problem.
That's my 2 cents. Take it for what it's worth...
I agree with you to a certain extent. But in the end, it's his lifestyle, and if he is going to continue making those choices, then you can't really say much. It's his choice.
And about the whole Victoria's Secret thing...That's a pretty mean spirited joke to play on someone. Yea, they might not have meant any harm, but to put that out there like that, against any of his wishes, is really messed up.
It might have been in good fun, but how much fun is it for Gabe? Wou...
I like Halo just as much as the next guy, but after the first one, it really didn't progress as much as some of the other franchises that were mentioned.
Did Halo 2 and 3 offer improved experiences as opposed to the first one? Not really. Besides graphical improvements, and the implementation of the Forge in 3, the series has been pretty much the same. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
However, franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Killzone, etc. can show a clea...
