Although I agree, what id has accomplished with Rage on consoles is truly amazing. One of my most anticipated games on the horizon.

You should definitely give the pilot a try, see if you like it. The earlier seasons were amazing, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I've never really had any problems with Gamestop personally, I think they might have sold me a scratched disk once, but they switched it out no problem. Regardless, now that I've discovered Amazon, I don't shop anywhere else.

I'm as disgusted with this as I am with double dip DVD releases. As a buyer of AC2 when it came out, it really sucks to see an edition get released later called the "Complete Edition." So...are you saying that I bought an incomplete game? WTF?
How is a beta not a win-win for everyone involved?
The consumer gets their hands on a product they really want to play before launch, the developer gets much needed feedback on network/gameplay issues, and the publisher gets the free viral advertising that the author talked about.
Nobody is forcing anybody to participate in a beta. The sense of entitlement in consumers is amazing...
