The game always continues until the end. If you want to replay cases or free roam, you need to go to the main menu and select "Cases". From there you choose a desk and the case, or select "Streets of L.A" at the bottom to free roam.
The fact that they can still play pirated games by staying offline doesn't really help at all. Playing pirated games online may slow down or even come to an end for a little while, but there will be a work around and people who don't update can always play offline. Pirates will never be stopped, just slowed down. Sad.
Well that explains it lol
And you seen that where exactly?
Why was this approved? Lankmark locations are "Coming Soon", Gold Film Reels isn't even half way completed, Outfit "Guide" isn't really necessary as most are gained from leveling up. The only worthy thing in this "Super Guide" is the newspaper locations, which stand out like a sore thumb during the cases anyway.
TBH I felt they were nothing alike. Jayden was my least favorite character to play in Heavy Rain. His parts always bored me. You just walked around scanning and looking for glowing objects. There was no real sense of depth or excitement for me.
In terms of gameplay, it's nothing like Heavy Rain in any way. Not to mention you play as through the eyes of multiple people in Heavy Rain, where L.A Noire you don't. It's just easy to compare the two because they're both detective games.
L.A Noire is a very hard game to score in my opinion. Some people will find certain cases drawn out and tedious, were others (like me) find the excitement of getting to the bottom of things on how and why they played out like they did. In reality, it's a game I think everyone should experience and draw their own conclusions because the experience you have in this game is the way you play it. Not how it's set up.
Like I said in my review.
"L.A Noire requires a few things most games don’t. Thinking, patience, brainstorming, and puzzle solving. "
You're right, it's not a game for everyone and I believe the main reason behind that is because people can't grasp those things I've listed above. L.A Noire is a mature game, it's not something you just "pick up and play" because of all the attention needed in order to successfully play a...
"and game itself... pretty much upgraded GTA + HR + Adventure game..."
I think you've missed the point of this game entirely.
Yup. It's always nice when a new IP comes along, but L.A Noire takes it over the top and provides something most IPs don't Originality.
Why in the hell would you want this game to be like GTA? There's so many games like GTA already. Innovative is what we need in the gaming industry, and L.A Noire does just that. You should be appreciating what L.A Noire is, and not down playing it because of something it's not.
I guess change is something people can't easily grasp when it comes to video games.
Not really surprised to be honest. 9/10 the 360 always sells more when it comes to multiplatform games.
Yea I was looking over the L.A Noire forums on Gamefaqs and saw a few threads of freezing issues in the 360 section. I have all 3 discs installed and been playing non stop since midnight yesterday and haven't had a single problem. People's PS3's and 360's are probably just crapping out. It's an electronic device after all, it will fail eventually.
According to the duplicate story report, it's not just L.A Noire. It's other games as well.
What does COD have to do with anything? Maybe people playing this game are just impatient and don't know what to look for to tell if someone is lying or not. Which leads them to getting all the wrong answers, getting frustrated with the game etc.
There's nothing wrong with seeking help for a game you're trying to enjoy but are struggling with. There's nothing worse than liking a game but having a difficult time enjoying it because you're struggling with ce...
I only have 6 more cases to go including the one I'm on and I'm already looking forward to my 2nd playthough. There's so many things I've done wrong while learning new things from this game that I want to go back and change.
There's actually a ton of dialog I've seen in the trailers from cases I've completed but did not experience due to my actions. So I'm hoping on my 2nd playthrough the cases will still be as rich and exciting as the first t...
Personally I think the game is flat out amazing. I'm on my last Vice Case now and have 5 more to go after that. IMO It's one of the best games this generation but won't appeal to everyone. I think a lot of people won't appreciate this game as much as me and others because it requires a great deal of patients, thinking, and puzzle solving. L.A Noire is a breath of fresh air for the gaming industry and if people can appreciate it for what it is, learn and adapt to the games styl...
You can't use a weapon whenever you want. Only when the game lets you. If you run over predestines it always pops up a warning message and lowers your case rating at the end. I don't think you can fail if you kill too many pedestrians, but then again I haven't tried. I'm trying to do the best of work to my ability on my first playthrough.
Rockstar helped work on the game. It wasn't just Team Bondi. In fact, 6 Rockstar Studios helped make this game. Rockstar NYC, Rockstar North, Rockstar Leeds, Rockstar San Diego, Rockstar New England, and Rockstar Lincoln. So no, they're not just using the Rockstar name to sell this game. It's a Rockstar Game.
