Heavy Rain has better texture work, but L.A Noire is miles ahead of Heavy Rain in the facial animation department IMO.

Depends on the game. Usually I could give a rats ass, but with L.A Noire I care. The more it sells, the more chances of a sequel and further support for the game. I'm loving this game and it's something fresh and original compared to the other games I own. The more DLC they can pump out, as long as it's reasonably priced, the better.

Well the point wasn't on why I disagree with the actual review score or why it's a good game, but rather simply portraying the review score and offering a brief description on why I enjoyed the game despite the actual score. People don't appreciate good games these days. All they care about is multiplayer. Which is sad because Heavy Rain was an amazing game that so many people probably missed out on because they're too afraid to buy a game without guns and multiplayer.
I actually found Mass Effect 2 to be much easier than the original in almost every way. I was more or less talking about the RPG elements of Mass Effect 2, not the difficulty. They took everything that made the original Mass Effect an RPG and stripped it from ME2. Casuals can't handle big complex games like Dragon Age or Mass Effect, so they dumb it down, make it simple enough to where a 5 year old could play and boom, profit.
Not true. It's not a step backwards because it was never meant to be a game about freedom and exploration. An easy game to compare it to would be Mafia II. A fantastic story driven game, but only offered free roaming as a bonus, not a focus. The point of the game is being a detective, not choosing sides.

Just like any other American company? You realize ANY company, regardless of location is after money. Look at Bioware, dumbing down Mass Effect and Dragon Age to "appeal to a larger market". Key word there, market. Make more money.
You said right there "as long as it isn't $60", you would have had no reason to say that if you read the article because it states it's $30.
And no you're basically paying $20 because you get $10 off Skyrim. So if you plan on buying Skyrim you're saving $10. It's simple math really. Plus $30 isn't all that expensive anyway, especially considering what you get.
Did either of you even bother reading the article? It's $30 with $10 off Skyrim. So you're basically paying $20 for Oblivion+All DLC, a map, and a making of DVD. I would say that's worth it if you plan on getting Skyrim.
I'm glad they're already talking about it since its a single player only game. I already bought 2 copies of the game, spending more money a few weeks after it's out can't hurt at this point lol.
Plus I don't mind buying DLC shortly after launch as long as it's worth it. From the DLC Rockstar has shown to put it out, I'm sure what ever it is will be worth the money.
