The fact you're not some overpowered monster of a man, but a normal SWAT like entity. Using stealth and cunning to save other ODST members and civilians of Earth, you can't go in all guns blazing with instant 360 degree turns and over the top jumps like the Chief. You're limited to what guns you can use in the war and are restricted to what you can carry, making gameplay more interesting. Etc, etc.
Expect a more realistic experience in the Halo universe.

I got the chance to play this on a friends PS3 last night. I didn't see much, just some stomping around a train track in the demo and general gameplay elements and I must say, I wasn't all that impressed. It looked solid, don't get me wrong, but was clunky and quite slow.
Crackdown still holds the title for me and I hope to high heaven MS actually announces a Crackdown 2!
Definitely agree on the bland environments. The character model on the other hand is definitely not too shabby, but I'd expect that from a S-E game.
We'll definitely be seeing more at E3 and I hope this turns out to be a gem.
