Few probably know, and fewer understand, that the PlayStation 3 was considered "a step backwards."
Here's the magically exciting part:
With wizard Mark Cerny directly in charge of two back-to-back PlayStation hardware architectural processes, the PS5 is poised to be truly next gen.
Any word the count for XBOX?
AR is Microsoft's angle—hence what we've not seen VR for XBOX. Not to mention how timid and cautious the company is after the monumental failure that was Kinect.
It seems that with the success of PSVR, however, Microsoft will have little choice but to come up with something.
FallenAngel1984 can't decide which system is a must have. A few days ago it was XBOX. 🙄
This news is going to sell half a million Switches for Nintendo. The minute a white model hits I'm there.
Comments should almost be required for down-votes. 🤔
Down-votes? Who doesn't like Miiverse—let alone almost half of gamers apparently clicking the 'down' button?
Happy to read—now, can we have Miiverse back?
Guess Microsoft has drawn a line in the sand.
VR could throw an interesting spin on the possibilities of eSports. But, in general, eSports if done correctly could become larger than I think many are imagining. Lots of sports deter participation due to physical limitations. ESports are inviting to all.

Microsoft owes its supporters a huge apology. Especially those who invested in the two thousand thirteen, launch consoles (five hundred bucks) and for those being lured to do it again in a few weeks—all without receiving a decent library.
Wonder if when the XBOX Two is released (in three...
Okay, I'm not sure if the producer from WWE 2K18 is someone I'd consider as being an authority on cross-platform play. Sure he is good at what he does—but, it's not as if he is the producer of NBA2K, Madden or Call of Duty/Battlefield.
EDIT: In other words, I am holding out for eventual better news about playing online multiplayer games with gamers across the gamut of platforms. Especially since it already exists with titles such as Final Fantasy XIV.
Why let out the air in your lungs to take in a new breath? (These stories insult readers' intelligence.)
Let's start with being able to buy the system for retail price without worrying about bot-scalpers buying all the online pre-orders or physical-scalpers buying all brick-n-mortar inventory.
PSN. 👏 Name. 👏Change. 👏Option. 👏 Please. 👏(Comes on. At least a one time alteration.)
So far, I'm impressed.
Okay, yeah, lots of great points—basically. I especially like the comparison of the current state of the XBOX to the Zune. But that sentence structure/paragraphing (or lack there of), though....
@Hardiman
That is literally almost exactly my story—even including the nineteen-eighty part. Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, variety, XBOX OG having better graphics for multi-platform games...
Then E3 four years ago being the turning point.
I think it's important we remind the youth who might had been too young to remember that E3 event what happened. Because they most likely make up a big part of the current XBOX supporter base. (Consideri...
I was primarily an avid XBOX gamer from XBOX all the way through the lifespan of the XBOX 360. Then when calamity of E3 two thousand thirteen happened. Immediately, I pulled up my roots and found solace in PlayStation.
Amazed Sony hasn't marketed the VR more with this PSVR compatible title.
