A new Halo could make the trick.
This game is a dream come true
2021
I think it really begun earlier, with Peter Molyneux departure. Since then, it's been like a groundhog day.
They can do it... they have not released many game in years, so it is easy. They only need to start releasing all those promised titles.
Xbox Series S consoles were dead before arrival and Microsoft knew it.
And with more than one controller :) Power savings can be huge for many homes.
Twice
Only? Well... that's near perfection, then. Enjoy.
If you have Series S and you use backwards compatibility... it is not comparable to Series X. Series S runs vanilla Xbox One versions because of the lack of RAM to emulate Xbox One X ones, for example. Series X is far greater improvement on BC.
3 years waiting... 4 years in development... This can be a real new game.
Maybe with two more years of work and DirectX/OpenGL support there will be a standard tech with IA and a DLSS killer solution. But now, it is a different game for NVIDIA and AMD+TheRestoftheIndustry.
Clickbait title...
:D Yes.
It is only publicity. They and us know it will be not less than 1.000 $ US... if any gets available outside China.
$599 US Tell us another joke, please.
PlayStation Talents is not that. Sony does not buy those indie studios. They offer them dev support, production support, marketing, a place in PlayStation Shop and other services with a limited exclusivity in return (12 months, most of them).
Even cheaper to produce? Sony are doing it really good this gen. It is incredible that they have a totally new controller with extra and expensive features, a cooling design expensive and delicate and an original architecture... but they are making a benefit with every console sold, while competition declared they sell at a lost, with a more standard architecture, propietary expansions and nearly the same overpriced controller.
Love, hate and robots.
Smartwatches are already doing over 4K 60p since some time ago (in a smaller package, with more functions, better screen, days of autonomy, third party patents paid...) Well, Nintendo can do it too, in theory. Do they want it? Do they need it? I doubt it... they only need 100% backwards compatibility and to sell hardware at a profit + gaming royalties.
