I think they mean good AAA exclusive games. Which it will have when Bloodborne comes out.

No but honestly I'm looking forward to the challenge. Not many games this big are an actual challenge, so when a From Software game comes I get a little bit giddy. Amazing devs.

It is a big deal. It's not about the 30 seconds. It's about shutting down your console at any point in any game. Then when you start it up, it's EXACTLY where you left off. That's the big deal.

It will help the overall Xbox brand. Also, it makes them tons more money. Microsoft doesn't make money from selling consoles. They make money from selling software. Putting exclusives on PC will make them boat loads of extra money, while showing that what they want is people to play the games. Not hog them to one platform. I'd rather them release on PC as well. I have no doubt that these games will be windows 10 exclusive as well. Which helps them out in that regard.
What they need to do is make an affordable gaming tablet, that is attached to the Playstation brand.
The Playstation brand pulls a lot of clout. The Xperia brand doesn't.
If they made something were you can connect your DS3 to it with bluetooth, and made crossbuy available for it. People would go nuts for it.

Rare was bought 13 years ago. Microsoft was a completely different company back then, a much more cocky company..
What I'm getting from what you're saying is that Playstation was the best, at the best time. OK, cool. That's true. That has nothing to do with what Microsoft needs to do though.

I'm praising Sony for making good on their promise. With this feature, it's no doubt the better hardware.

Everything you're saying requires money first. You can't get a group together to foster talent on good faith and promises. I understand that not all studios put together will be as close knit as Rare was. That's a given. You can't make that. Though hiring the best in the business to create the best shot at that chemistry is something that Microsoft's bank has room for.

Finally! Can't wait. This is one of the only reasons I prefer to play on my bone right now. Taking that away will most likely shift my preference. This feature really does make me feel like I'm playing on a new gen console. Without it, starting up and playing feels outdated.
With Microsoft's money, they honestly could be the better platform. If they build tons of studios, they can churn out high quality games like not many other businesses are even capable of doing. I don't put faith in MS though. I would need to see games being made by their money. Not bought by it.

There could be a service with better services/sales, and it still wouldn't compete with steam. Steam is too widespread at this point. The PC market is absolutely dominated by Steam.
360 dominated the beginning of last gen. That's not good for the Xbox team. They only are acceptable when they have to come from behind. I'd rather Sony be ahead all the time, so MS is always clawing for the front spot. The harder they claw, the more I benefit.
I'd rather have Naughty dog coming up with new ideas, and making new IPs. The Last Of Us. Come on. If they set out to make a new IPs, they make incredible new IPs. Why is everyone so hung up on keeping Naughty Dog making the same games. Their talent is wasted when they're not innovating.
