I agree.
Thanks, but no thanks. :)
You're gonna have to pry physical media from my cold, dead hands. To me, physical easily provides the most sense of "ownership," freedom to sell, trade, loan to a friend, etc., and nostalgia. Putting a new PS4 game on the shelf next to the other PS3, PS2, and PS1 games is just something digital will never be able to replicate.
I'm a collector and want the security of knowing I can play any of my games 10+ years out ...
I beg to differ. To each their own, but I haven't looked forward to a COD so much since COD4. CODAW's looking great IMO and this is coming from someone who pretty much despised the COD franchise from MW2 on. We'll find out tomorrow.
*Good* free PS+ games, duh. Lol enjoy your Viva Pinata next month!!
Hire me, Sony I can fix it!! How? Client-side white list input validation (through the usage of regular expressions and conditional statements) + stored procedure with strict parameters on backend SQL database + parameterized queries. Boom. Problem solved, potential SQL injection crisis averted.
/nerdy CIS major rant
As a long-time PS fan though, this is troubling if it's actually exploitable (I'm not going to try, nor should you unless you're an ...
The only problem is, it could most likely kill a small child if it were dropped on them. IMO, this is barely passable for a "laptop." I'd take a Blade or 15" rMBP all day, every day over this thing.
Uncharted 4 + Bloodborne + The Order: 1886 > anything on Xbox One. Sure, that's subjective, but many others would agree with me. If you're trying to diss Uncharted 4 (which it sounds like you are), you're just in denial.
***UPDATE*** Just logged 4.5 hours on this game today and I can confirm: it's far from a flop. This is just the "RPG fix" I needed while I wait for Dragon Age: Inquisition.
You only drop the price if you *need* to. At this point, Sony doesn't need to. The PS4 has beat out the Xbox One in sales every month consistently since both of them launched a year ago. If this $50 holiday price drop turns the tables a bit, Sony has the flexibility to consider a price drop/holiday deal if they want. For the time being, it's completely unnecessary.
Why in the flying **** would you drop the price of your product if it was selling like hot cakes compare...
Or how about rather than formulating your opinions on a game solely based on the opinions of others (reviewers) like a sheep, how about you go check out the 5+ hours worth of gameplay on YouTube and form an opinion for yourself?
I've watched all the various gameplays and the game doesn't look like a "flop" at all to me. Looks more like the perfect "Souls"-ish game to keep me occupied until Bloodborne in February.

Nice!
I'm particularly fond of these three trophies:
Way of the cleric
Complete the game as Cleric
Way of the rogue
Complete the game as Rogue
Way of the warrior
Complete the game as Warrior
Looks like three playthroughs minimum for me! I'll be getting my money's worth.
I'm not "tired" of it, I just find it hard to prioritize it over all the new games out/coming out (e.g. The Evil Within, Bayonetta 2, Sunset Overdrive, Lords of the Fallen, etc.) Once the crazy fall release cycle is over though and everything calms back down, I could definitely see myself going back to it.
What would be the point of "Minecraft 2?" Isn't Minecraft... Just Minecraft? It's not like the franchise has any potential for a sequel due to it's amazing narrative or anything.
Just keep pumping out the free updates and I'll be content.
I will. ME is a much more respectable game/franchise than this. Enjoy your "game," psycho.
As one of the biggest video game enthusiasts I know, I have no interest in playing this. Not only does it look mediocre at best quality-wise in terms of gameplay (although the visuals/presentation look pretty nice), but it also seems pretty tasteless. Devoid of having any sense of potential for "good vs. bad morality decisions" and instead effectively forcing the player to murder innocents by means of progression.
Sure, you have the option to do the same in games su...
When did I ever say a game didn't have to be fun in the first place?
IMO achievements/trophies complement already great games by adding additional replay value and opportunities to play games in ways I wouldn't have otherwise.
To each their own. A lot of people dig 'em though, just take a trip over to http://www.playstationtroph...
"Too hard to get?" No such thing. People talk about replay value as if it's a bad thing nowadays.
"Hey, I just spent $60 and I wan't to blow it ASAP!"
The only thing I ask as a trophy (level 14 now)/achievement (119,000 G before I gave up on Xbox =D) enthusiast is please, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO MP trophies/achievements. When servers inevitably go down they become literally impossible to earn legitimately. Where's the fun/repla...
Looks like I'll be buying a Wii U in the very near future. Loved the first one. It'd of course be more convenient if it were also be on PS4 (as that seems to be my platform of choice at the moment), but Nintendo essentially saved Bayonetta 2 when the project was on the brink of being cancelled, with no interest from other publishers, so +1 to Nintendo for that.
To each their own, but I really dig it. Granted, I may be a bit biased because I tend to gravitate towards racing games more than your average gamer.
It reminds me of GT (for it's graphics, visual realism, etc.) + PGR (for it's simcadey point-based system) + NFS Shift (mainly for its handling/gameplay).
Between Driveclub and The Crew, I'll be set on racing games for a good while.
Some people have ISP caps and/or heavy unavoidable ISP throttling. Also, can you guarantee that you'll be able to play any of your digital games in 10+ years?
