Between this UK move, and the "Play it for free for two weeks" deal in Canada, something has become clear:
They know the game isnt going to sell well. At all. They know this, and they are giving copies away to get attention at launch.
Book / CD sellers do this all the time. They buy-up or give away their own product to jack-up the figures to get on the sales charts.

The reason the PS3 has a mandatory install is because of the BR drive isnt as fast as DVD and without it, the lag and load times would be "unacceptable".

Me too. Pure awesome. Better than I expected.
I agree. That's why I wish the multi-plat games would stop wasting their time with the PS3. The console is solidly in third, and that isnt going to change unless Sony sells it for $100.
And we'd get more games like Mass Effect, Gears of War and BioShock -- all Game of the Year quality and Best of the Generation games.
Uncharted - 8.8 /10- THE BEST exclusive on the console. At 8.8/10, this would only rank #7th for Xbox 360 exclusives. Uncharted is the only half-decent game on the system.
WarHawk - 8.4/10, would place #11th on Xbox 360.
Heavenly Sword - 7.9/10... decent. Not great.
MotorStorm - 8.2/10... decent. Not great.
Ratchet and Clank - 8.9/10 - THE BEST PS3 Game. How many Game of the Year awards did it get? Zero. Mass Effect, BioShock,...

Its being designed from the ground-up to be a console RTS by the people who make Age of Empires (Ensemble).
