You are dead correct. There is a serious tone of sad desperation here -- not only in this thread, but on the entire site.
The usual cabal of haters come and insult anything Xbox 360 (and, by extension, the site eats up anything that tries to slam anything Microsoft, the sure sign of zealots -- look at the vista story on the front page right now -- LOL indeed).
Do I goto the MGS4 threads and tell them that the graphics are mediocre? No. Its true, but I cant be ...
Wow, the haters are out in force.
Does the stunning description of the game make jealous? I think -- and when I say "think" I mean gaurantee -- we're about to see Heavenly Sword put to shame.
Dude, take it to the open zone. you sound ridiculous.
Ninja Gaiden as a run and slash adventure game will do *JUST FINE* on the Xbox 360 fanbase.
And, considering how amazing the game looks to be, I dont think anyone can say otherwise.
Based on the previews thus-far, the game is going to get a lot of good press when it is released. This will get the game into the minds of the wider audience.
I think thats what they're telling us. But, what if you used a living thing -- not a dead thing -- as cover?
More dynamic and "real" -- perhaps if you ran in a pack of horses or some-such?
Hey everyone, someone belongs in the Open Zone.
Its over ->
The most exciting thing (imo) is the "d-day" and "bigger wider war" that they are going to do, the "last stand" of humanity.
Thats sounds awesome. One of my favorite video-game moments *ever* is the D-Day landing in Call of Duty.
Being one of a million while the war rages on all around you is just a terrific gaming moment. The prospect of doing that in Gears of War 2 is an awesome opportunity to make Gears of War 2 kick-ass-really-...
Perhaps that is a reasonable point.
I dont think many people would disagree that this certainly *is* a new way to earn revenue for games. Or to entice gamers to buy a game (what a Demo actually does).
Maybe Sony knows that if they release a Demo, 1,000,000 will Download it. While, only 250,000 will buy the game - the other 750k will be satisfied trying the game via the demo and move on.
I think frankly that is the case. They cant afford to cut i...
"This "demo" has more content than many FULL games. That's the bottom line."
Dont be ridiculous.
@10.1
Does it have full online features?
Whole portions of this game arent even available. Its a demo of a driving game. I *hope* for your sake they put in *a lot* of features to justify charging you another $60.
I heard they might just release a $20-30 (whatever) DLC patch to GT5P to bring it up to the full $60 version.
if they did *that*, then it might be fair. But to charge you $40 then turn around and charge you **ANOTHER** $6...
The reason they are charging you for this GT5 demo is because for racing games, yeah, you can play them forever.
There isnt much more to be had in coregameplay between the GT5 demo $40 and the GT5 they'll release for $60
You recognize ArsTechnica is highly respected right?
"OMG! this is not a demo"
I think I'll trust ArsTechnica over the opinion of a random n4g user.
GT5P is a demo, without a doubt, and one of the most neutral and respected technology sites on the web just told you so.
My buddy's PS3 is all scratched to heck and looks like hell. Since it has to sit "on top" of his entertainment rack, people always set CD cases on it at parties and such.
It scratches way too easily.
I rather like the art style. Stylized and unique.
Lets see how the story/gameplay comes out.
I highly recommend Frontlines.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory might be fun too.

* When MS says exclusive, they mean that no other system can have DLC content for GTAIV
*It will be bigger than a lot of people think. GTA3 Vice City and San Andreas were basically expansions of GTA3. Think of the DLC that way. We are talking major expansion for GTAIV
*No price has been discussed yet. It’s up to Rockstar on whether or not they will charge for it

Dont be foolish. How about a console-designed RTS set in Halo? How about the innovation-heavy RPG Fable 2? How about the deep story and atmosphere of Alan Wake? Epic storytelling in Too Human's Action-RPG setting.
Should we go on? There are a dozen epic, exclusive AAA games for Xbox 360 this year.
Please, if you want to say "PS3 has good games this year and it makes me happy" - go right ahead. But saying the Xbox 360 doesnt h...
