What a great idea for use of the IP and should have provided plenty of opportunity to make a brilliant and interesting game. What they have shown however looks absolutely horrendous.
No still have my PS4, not really been any reason to upgrade to the next gen yet, they are all pretty meek and most of the games release on PC anyway.
They can take there time, hopefully make the NPCs less generic. ill not buy it until its comes down from their £70 on steam price anyway

Literally no basis or history of competent decisions from the CMA to reach that conclusion, just look at their Asda debacle.

So far the deal has been approved by the regulators in charge of 39 countries with a collective population size of more than 2.4 billion, crazy to think the main opposition is my little island of 67 Million lol.
Go look at where the PS4 was compared to the PS3 3 years in and compare it with how many true PS5 only experiences Sony has put out on the PS5 that you can't play on your PS4. This console generation has been more a half gen step up due to cross platform releases and so pretty meek to me.
So aside from Rift Apart and returnal, no real PS5 showcases in near enough 3 years... pretty meek.

The truth is that both consoles have had very meek beginnings to this generation and whether its Covid or not there isn't really a great deal of true next gen experiences on both. Sony just has been getting more of a pass due to its proven record and M$' self inflicted woes.
That sucks, was hoping they would pull off a nice surprise as its always nice when developers try something new, but this always looked mediocre at best.

I'd say its more Playstation fans don't want xbox having any kind of win or positivity at all, judging by this sites fanbase...
I don't think its fair to say Microsoft is looking to leech off of cloud providers, who else capable is really trying to grow the Cloud market at all? Sony bought two big providers, then quietly shuttered them to the side and focused on other things. Google tried, then gave up. Amazon has just launched Luna with minimal effort and fanfare. Everyone else in the market seems to support the deal and sees it only as a benefit to their cloud services potential.

Enjoyed more games on my Xbox this gen than on my PS5, I'm more of an AA type of gamer anyway.
That date is entirely in M$' favour and one they fought and argued for as CMA wanted one far later in the year so they could prepare.
