Check out a video of the game in action - it's more Paper Mario than crappy Eminem game. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Now see, what would be really shocking would be if Trackmania Wii...wasn't coming out for Wii. Oooooooo!
You do know that Tetris is on the App Store? There's also a few clones - there was the free Tris from the early days of the App Store that got pulled, Communist Blocks (though that one sucks), and the "Tetris with Boobs" app Boob Stack that KRAPPS covered: http://krapps.com/2009/08/1...
Have you actually played one with a friend any time recently? My roommate and I had plenty of drunken nights playing Street Fighters past and present and just enjoying the hell out of it. There's a reason why the genre stays stagnant - there's not much reason for it to change at times.
Also, give SF4 a shot, the online play is immaculate, incredible netcode job (unlike KoF XII sadly)
Well, it's part of the Japanese culture - arcades are still around there. It sucks for American fighting fans, but at least that's a bunch of quarters we've saved.
I have never been too big a fan of the KoF series, but I'm in love with the high-definition 2D art here. In a parallel universe, we'd see more games that look like this. However, this review seems to convince me that I should probably just stick with SF4 and MvC2 for my HD fighting needs.
And reading that the online is flawed? After how great SF4 made fighting online to be, that is DAMN disappointing.
This is one of the best games on the console, so I would gladly take more
OK, now I've got me excited for 3D path management.
What about a hybrid match-3/path management game?
That's been the only real problem with the 'path management' genre - the differentiation between them is so minimal that each game is basically ripping each other off. Until someone tries to do the genre in 3D. That will either rock or be SO awesome.
This game looks like it could be alot of fun if you could get past the awkward controls.
Baseball season is good enough for me.
Personally, I am not much for football games, but the demo was fun.
Yeah, it's on iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/Web...
Chess Pro, Chess Elite, what's next? Chess Deity?
I agree. I liked the "Rock Band Portable" name that was thrown out originally. Or I may just be making that up.
You bought it despite it being smashed ass? Hah!
As much as I love rock band, it is hard to get behind a game without plastic instruments.
Still, I've always found that TBS and RTS games have vastly different mindsets unless Civ Rev gives you time limits for your moves - I generally think TBS acts more like chess in that you have to plan out and think your moves, whereas RTS games' more frenetic pace makes it more of a reactionary thing. I may be way offbase with this, though.
College is so much better than the pros in real life and in video games.
