Id rather play as an infected ala "Dead Head Fred." What?
Enough with this bullshit. Riley adds gameplay variation, but IW never said it was a game changer. Its unfair to use that as an argument in your review. Also, while those other bargain bin shooters might have more creativity, CoD has better controls and gameplay, (albeit repetitive as sin.) That copy pasted animation in the "cutscene" was pretty shameful though. I can't imagine they will keep the same engine for the next iteration in the series, but at this point I wouldn't ...
Gross
Tell me 3 things you can do in Infinite besides shooting or shooting plasmids or shooting skyhooks? Whats that? Searching garbage cans for money and salt... Sorry that doesnt count. Im not a hipster, I just see things objectively, Infinite is a slightly above average first person shooter. Its not Half Life, hell its not even Call of Duty which is trash.
Im interested in this DLC because I love the atmosphere of Rapture, and because we were told in another preview the first se...
Your mind, not mine. Those reasons are intereting not mind blowing. We all know the game eventually will turn into shooting people in the face.
Nintendo deserves to fail. They thought a year ahead of the competition and the Wii name itself would lead them through to the next gen, the worse is still to come. I guarentee these last 6 months of sales will be higher than the coming 6 months.
Should of called it "Wii too." Obviously.
Well, I dont really know N4Gs layout all that great.
In terms of gameplay, I should have said, like "All Ghillied Up," from CoD4 had easily some of the most exciting gameplay I've seen in a military shooter, on the other side a lot of Call of Duty's mission structure fall back on, (heres a shooting gallery, heres another.) Just wondering if its worth a rent in that regard. Sorry to bother you.
Im tired of short campaigns if that makes sense
Didnt Sony start the Playstation because Nintendo screwed them over with a hardware issue?
Are there any standout moments in the campaign? Or on the other end - any bad parts?
Lets be honest, this game is totally underrated, and deserves a lot more praise than the shallow Deadly Premonition, but it could have been so much better. The permadeath idea was brilliant. The gamepad was brilliant.
But imo there should not have been an actual story. Rather many stories. Every time a you play as a new character from your last one dying, there should have been a new "mission" for that character, whether its trying to find a way back home and see i...
You know when are reviewers going to factor in bugs and glitches into their review scores? FarCry 3 had the worst MP this generation due to the bugs and glitches. It was never fixed. You literally cant play that game for the entire match before the game crashes.
Hell yeah HL is on here twice. Starcrafts opening cinematic was insanely impressive at the time. TLoU was really f*cking good but I like Uncharted 2s start on the edge of the cliff more.
TimeSplitters2: The Haunted House mission (atmosphere.)
Condemned: Department Store (mannequins)
FC2: Escape the Rockies, (plane jump)
Mannequins from condemned 1 are not only imo the scariest moment ever, but also the most influential, as hordes of games copied its POV innovation. The Bear was amazing though.
GameInformers first article showed some unreal gameplay pictures, it really was the best looking game at the time, god I hated the writing though, it was like Extreme! To the Max! All the time!-
Tell me how the game changed at that point in gameplay. It did nothing beyond some meta jab at FPS and then proceeded to be a generic FPS.
I keep forgetting Gears1 won the official GoTY. What the hell were they thinking?
Good choices, id add Condemned, Amnesia, FarCry 3s multiplayer.
What AAA games aren't?
