(Mattel made the power-glove, not Nintendo) MS has removed their first party support almost entirely and they're hoping solely that Kinect is a success. If it fails I wouldn't put it past the same investors that told MS to shut up about Zune to do the same with xbox, hell they were the reason that MS stopped supporting the original xbox.
They own the portable market. Sony has made an impression, but the DS is going nowhere. and Nintendo can always bring back the Gameboy. (As they said the DS isn't the gameboy's replacement) and the wii prints money. Nintendo didn't liquidate majority of their game development division. I see MS banking HEAVILY on Kinect and nothing else, Nintendo always has had a plan B... and plan C.

My friend used to just button mash on SSF4 and he was such a fun punching bag, took 3 hours to teach him some basics with Ken. He can hold his own online now. He thought it was ridiculous how easy it is to learn to paly properly.
