This game could have been so much more. And to think that an abomination like FF13-2 was born from it and soon Lightning Returns which looks equally mediocre and cheesy as heck.
the art-style is ugly and generic as hell, that's for sure. The gameplay looks like it'll follow on Valkyria Chronicles footsteps, so that's a great thing at least.
it was mostly CGI except for like 5 seconds when Sora's about to fight the heartless and then when he's riding on them like a surfboard is CGI again.

And the fact that MS believes that the future is DRM is kind of scary too. People can't lower their guard on this stuff! They need to learn from Steam ad realize that digital content should be cheaper, especially with such draconian DRM that they wanted to implement.

Modern day GPUs are so powerful and they become cheap so fast that low level programming is useless, a wasted effort for an ever changing environment. This is only necessary for consoles because console hardware stays the same for years, so this is the only way to squeeze more out of them.
If this API were widely available for any GPU then it would sense. But an API that will require more effort only to benefit a few? Most devs will ignore it, except for those within AMD'...

there is still the fact that consoles have standard hardware while devs would be wasting their time by coding to the metal on certain PC hardware when there are a gazillion of different set-ups out there. DirectX already provides some low level extensions but nobody gives a fk.

MGS3 has a prologue and it was called differently from the main game. The only difference is that he didn't promote it like he's doing with MGSV. But the MGS3 prologue was only like 30 means to 1 hour long depending on your play-style... But it seems this one will be much more longer and in-depth.
