FF13 and FF13-2 were developed by the same team. Division 1 and the Kingdom Hearts Team as helpers, this is the very reason why FFvs only entered full development by the end of last year. The FFvs Team has been helping out Division 1 in the development of FF13 and FF13-2 from the very beginning.
Ito's team is Division 4 of Square. And while Ito had some role as director of those games the main one for FF6 was Kit...
Wii U CPU has been confirmed to be a tri-core with dual threads while Power 7 has 4 threads on each core... So basically the Wii U shares the exact same CPU as the Xbox 360 which is way weaker than the PS3's CPU.

I played them all and I own them all as well and that's simply not true. After beating FFVI I was really disappointed with the game after hearing how much better it was compared to FF7 because the truth is that it isn't. FFVI is not even the best JRPG on the Snes, Chrono Trigger is.

@Darrius Cole visuals are not the problem, to me, it's the content! The game will either be scattered on multiple discs making the experience all disjointed or they will cut tons of stuff to make it on only 1 DVD9. No matter what Square does we lose.
And I think it'll be better if Square starts the development of FFXV on next gen consoles because seeing how slow they are by the time the game comes out this gen will be more than dead.

Yakuza is basically a JRPG. The combat is like an old-school beat-em-up like Ninja Turtles IV on the Snes but the encounters are random (just like in a JRPG), you level up and all that stuff to gain new abilities and you can grind too (just like in a JRPG). The story is a convoluted mess like Metal Gear but with the yakuza. This is the core of the series but beside this you do other stuff like side-quests and mini-games.

that was a tech demo and these kind of demos tend to look good because they don't have stuff like physics and AI eating up resources. All the power goes towards the visuals alone.

DMC fanbase is small and most of them will not buy the reboot new. If the reboot will sell it'll need to draw in tons of new people. But right now people are fixated on Kinect, COD and Halo 4 to even take a second to care about DMC reboot. And the Japanese hate the idea of the reboot to death too, where the series sells a huge chunk of its total sales. The game has no way to be a success. It's like Capcom really just wants to kill the series once and for all with this shot at the dark...
the phat PS3 did this to the old games and in certain ways it made the games look worse. I remember playing Dragon Quest 8 with the up-scaling and it actually made the game look even more blurry but the smoothing was fine. It made the game look better by hiding jaggies a little bit but nothing close to the HD remasters.
