What about Raam from Gears of War? That was the quintessential boss battle of the generation! Imo.
Yeah, it's not even supposed to be a representation of her character. It's more of an anime caricature. People way overreacted. Maybe they should release an "in-game" statue of her too so fans of the in-game version won't feel left out.
That could be said of 95% of games. The reason they get sequels is because the first is so good. In Halo's case, the first changed the course of videogames forever.
Oh boy I remember that quest. Sadly I was only able to save one of them. Well written article.
Well I for one appreciate the information, no matter what form it comes in.
It's over the top and not at all representative of her character in the game but... I still like it.
Okay, I admit, I lol'ed.
That better mean the ground is destructible. I want to dig holes in the ground with my RPG!
Haha... Dickpickle...
I love the outmeal.
I think the price is fair. Less than $20 a year to play with a perfect connection at any point in the day/night with a large group of friends. Sign me up!
Wow. They pretty much fixed all the weapons I had problems with. And the cave sounds great. Trenches did seem to be missing something. DO WANT.
Many thanks!
It's obviously the Forerunners.
Quick off-topic question regarding specs. How do you think BF3 would run on my rig?
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2820QM CPU @ 2.30GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M
4095 MB Total available graphics memory
12GB RAM
I'm obviously new to pc gaming so if I'm missing any important specs, please tell me. Thanks.
No matter what, I can't wait for this game...
Based on Carmack's comments I guess this shows it's not the size of raw processing power that matters, but how you use it. ;)
Yes. Interesting to see how they are reacting to the leak.
Yeah I'm kinda repeating whats been said, but its true: artistically it unimpressive, technically it's an achievement. I really do want to see what a skilled team of artists can get running.
This is impressive tech, but one thing I don't think this unlimited detail will be able to handle is physics. Calculating velocity, gravity, acceleration on trillions of particles would require a super computer. So while these games might look nice, there probably will be either very basic physics or none at all.
Well the first game Carmine was barely a character. He pretty much had one scene- the scene where he gets instantly sniped in the head. Soooo... Emotional attachment wasn't even an issue. It became such a joke that in Gears 2 Carmine's bro was killed off for fun. It's never been about emotions. That's why I want to see the tradition continue. :)
But I do agree the writing needs to improve... Luckily that looks to be vastly improved in Gears 3.
@BrightFalls76
Well said. (Though I do think Halo 3's multiplayer was awesome!)
